UPDATE

I got my 2 refurbished(rebuilt) controllers today. One is purple the other platinum.

WHat've noticed

purple one- The Y was rear unuseable, I can hear the spring in L, the D-pad is really loose(lol they taunted a lot most be a pichu player), A seems kindof mashed in but doesn't effect anything, X is annoying to use but works amazingly, and it seems good for dding.

Overall I only need to try to fix the R button because after 5 matches it's starting to stick a little same with the C-stick at times.

really my wding and SHFFLing it better because it's prebroken in I mastered SHFFLing but I can just do it faster.

It would be cool if people gave info about fixing controllers I may need to fix the R button and C-stick.

Oh my goash I can DJC so D*** low now as m2 it looks like i'm still on the ground. Before I was like a foot of 1/2 a foot away from the ground

Yeah, some say the shoulder buttons are different too.
Yeah I used one at a friend's house and it was weird. I think it might've just been me holding it differently than normal because it happened one time on another controller. The button felt like it was... off? It felt like I was going to break it and was more than a little scared since it wasn't mine and I'm one of very few people he's let use it.

You apparently never learned to use a controller if you can DjC better with it. O_o The rest of your post, it just sounds like you were given a horrible controller.

The only differences, really, between controllers are the joystick and shoulder buttons.

All my shoulder buttons are really squishy feeling and my joysticks are all snappy, probably from all being used by me or something.

as a person who's starting to rack up the dough, but isn't really a baller, spend the money on the white controller. compared to games like street fighter 4 and hd remix which need a ps3 AND $100 arcade sticks, spending money on a $35 controller isn't bad at all.

you gain a lot more as a player than you lose as a consumer

Thanks so much for this thread, ICG!

I've been thinking about ordering a few new controllers, and this definitely helped.

So they don't sell new GC controllers at physical store locations anymore?
I remember circa 2008-2009 I could just walk into a Fry's electronics and buy a controller no problem.

It doesn't make sense for Nintendo to stop producing GameCube controllers since the Wii has four GC controller ports and many Wii games are compatible with the GC controller.

NINTENDO doesn't make sense
fixed

No I meant play one of their wii games IF they let you use the GC controller really who wants to swing your arms around like a jerk all the time a GC would be a cool option that they don't have but every other game system has.

HAPPy you made my day like I made this other guy's day by rolling a quarter pass a jew. LOL

BUt yeah they should work better than a used one i'm geussing.
I'm assuming they'll be pretty good. I bought a used one from a local pawn shop just to use it for parts, but I found that it was actually in really good condition. So I'm guessing a refurbished one would be like new.

Sorry for the bump. I didn't realize this post was so old.

Does anyone have any idea where to get these controllers used?

Symphonic Green Controller (Tales of Symphonia JP Bundle)

Not every day you see a mint green controller. Green front half + Clear back half would look so awesome.

Pearl White Controller (Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles JP Bundle)

The controller is so sexy. I want this one the worst. I don't think I'd touch the back.

"Pearl White" Controller (Mario Smash Football)

I can't even find that FF:CC Bundle anywhere. I don't particularly want any of the bundles. But at least the Mario Smash Football bundle is affordable at £32.99 (Before shipping. Which is about $50ish for me. I'm sure shipping is going to **** me). But if the "Pearl White" controller isn't the same as the Pearl White FF:CC Bundle controller (the shininess), I don't want it.

So, any input on the UK Pearl White would be appreciated. Any any links to buy any of the controllers would be too <3.
