Is anyone going to be bringing recording equipment to this, and I was thinking besides the mini tournament is there any other events that we can do lol?

Obviously second best falcon thing again (even though I will win that and prob claim first)

But I remember VA trying to claim the Best Y.Link in the UK and im not happy about that false claim :(

But yeah any ideas people, like a items mini tournament or something for the extreme lulz lol....5/6 stocks though.
And we as a group select what items should be on and obviously record it.

I agree on proximity mines, you can get some really good setups on them in terms of edgeguarding lol and other things and they are just funny when you're tech chasing and people always tech away but in some situation they literally have no other choice and it just creates lulz.

If we do play with items it definitely should be either Second or Thrid (I vote second) from lowest in terms of frequency of items, spammed items takes away from the actual game play and it's mostly fun when you play normally and then intergrate the items lol.

I'm very pleased that prof and co are confirmed. I was worried prof would have a surprise birthday/dance event he had to go to. Anyway, if everyone that has confirmed themselves could post their arrival times that would be helpful. Now is a good time to ask for directions and stuff if people haven't already got them. The number to call if you get lost is 01273 230242.

As for the smashfest itself I think it will be like this:

SCHEDULE

Friday - Smash all night/friendlies as long as people want etc.

Saturday - When everyone is awake and ready I will run a doubles/singles and low tier tournament. For low tier you have to pick one character and stick with it. Once this is done we can get out a bunch of other fighting games/whatever.

Sunday - I'm pretty sure people will just sleep through most of this day and go home with a little bit of smash in the evening.

SETUPS

I need 2 gamecube set ups and 3 melee PAL discs. I have an NTSC but this time I won't be using it for the tournament. The TV in front of the sofa will be the recording TV again. I think that's everything?

OTHER

In terms of food, I think we'll see how much money people have etc. Also one final thing, I do need £1 for the electricity. Sorry to be a Spkz but the meter gets butt ***** by smashfests.

And P.S to Bishkin, if you see this, come down regardless of space cos you always have to be here. I <3 playing Bishkin. This goes for anyone else, if you're not fussed about having the most comfortable nights sleep, get your *** down here on the friday.

Gantz - It's not a tournament, it's a Smashfest, there's nothing important to win or lose except for the Winning the titles and stuff lol.
But either way i'm gonna win everything, espesh doubles.

And I also think we should do some event with ATLEAST recording the Broken Y.Link like people trying to beat me with it cos that last time was jokes lol.

Y.Link should really be like that IMO.

Tbh there's a small chance I might not be able to come but i'm working on that now, just because no-one will be able to look after my little brother unless my other brother comes home to do it since we are leaving on Friday....but that's easily gonna get sorted out.

And nice job on the Spkz shiz :)

And does the last bit of that post apply for Bullet Bill lol :)

I should be arriving around 15.30 or something, I can bring my hacked wii if you want with an extra pal disc (after all, I can just use a burned copy on mine). Of course I can also bring ntsc and hacked melee (prof has already played it, don't worry, fixing the lame fox textures =P), but fuzzy is already bringing one I guess (unless you want two lul).

Again if needed, if someone else is bringing one and you don't want another setup capable of playing hacked melee I would prefer not to bring it since it can be a bit of pain to travel with.

I have 1 PAL copy of smash and 2 setups. I only need 2 more setups, I assume charles is bringing hacked melee with cube. So we just need one more. Alex usually bring a cube and melee so if he does that again I'd only need 2 more PAL melee's.

1 NTSC is fine. Sound good? Also charles if you want to get ***** at SSF4 bring your arcade stick. I forgot that I have MBAC on my computer as well.

yeah but its no contest playing melty so i don't really wanna play that, that game is actually dead cause the scene is so small its not even worth it (sigh..I put so much work in that game too).

me and frostbolt are waiting for Arcana Heart 3, been playing #2 a hella lot but some things lag the game cause its a bad port

I'll bring my stick tho, wanna play you guys seriously at some sf =)

Also..Monkey ball again? <3

I arrive at 5:25pm, cause you told me you'd be busy in the afternoon

That's sorted then.

Me - 2 setups 1 PAL melee
Alex - 1 setup 1 PAL melee
Charles - 1 setup 1 crazy PAL melee
Prof - 1 PAL melee

We may not even need all 4, depending on who shows up.

And lol aaron, I already said my stance on the bullet bill thing. I didn't mind him coming, just wasn't sure about it at first. Beast was the one who said no in the end.

Oh yeah, also we set our tickets back to go back later this time, I remember at the last one it was not Happy Times when we left on the last day as we wanted to stay a little bit longer.

Looking forward to it and also THANK YOU ROBBY WOBBY for wanting me and Wiggum and Jolteon to come around....obviously really appreciate it and just allowing us to spend time in your house.

But *** you for being Spkz :)

Anyway someone needs to contact bishkin and get him to come down. BISHKIN, WHERE ARE YOU.

That last bit of my post was meant to say 'And obviously my sex appeal' loool....since it sounded like it might of been a dig at Charles lol.

But yeah I still look forward to this and haven't got it 100% confirmed if I can come but right now it's looking pretty likely....

if I am allowed to come to this then thats good. I have barely enough money so I probably ought not to incase I can't make GT4 but I really want to come! The people that are coming crack me up and are legends so I know it'd be a good smashfest

I think honestly I do feel the same as beast, as we've just talked about it. Essentially I just feel a little bit uncomfortable with the idea of spending 3 days with you in my home.

Try to understand that this does not mean that I dislike you. I think you're a good guy. But there is a difference between seeing each other for a small amount of time at a tournament and staying in someones house for 3 days.

I've decided I'm gonna stop acting up over this. Beast, V.A., if you don't want me over then thats fine. I won't hold it against you. I'll probably see you next at GT4 if I can make it

You can definitely afford it bishkin, it's only a train ticket and the cost of some supernoodles. Make it or die.
