I'm looking for someone who knows some background information on this stage.
The screenshots make it look very confusing to someone who hasn't played LOZ: TP, like me for instance...so I have no idea what is happening in the pics. Like the first picture for example:

This stage looks pretty much like SSBM's "Final Destination" ...just interactive. I mean, it's flat...no platforms...and width doesn't really matter considering Smash doesn't have 3 dimensional movement.

You don't have to reply to anything I've said, just discuss your thoughts and feelings about the new stage and what you think about it pretty much.

I wonder how exactly you fall off the stage besides the hole when present. Seems they may just set a border like they did on the V shaped stage on SSBM (Can't remember the name of it, but I think it was a yoshi's Island.) If thats the case, I won't have that level on.

*Spoilers*
At this point in the game, you're on your quest to clear the last third of Hyrule from the Twilight Darkness covering the land. You plan on crossing this bridge, but that boss you see fights you. After you beat him, he blows up the bridge causing it to collapse I believe, so you can no longer turn back for a while.

*still spoilers*
Later on though, while in the desert, you strangely find the missing chunck of bridge sticking out of the sand, and your partner Midna uses her teleportation powers to send it back and reconnect the bridge.

Looks like a good level to me, its very wide and the holes give variety to the platform as well. All of the levels look a bit larger now in Brawl, so I'm not surprised that this level is somewhat enourmous.

You should play the game and find out for yourself why this is in Smash. It was a cool area in the game. Link had a few interesting horseback duels on this bridge against King Bulbin.

All I'm gonna say is that it looks like a ***** to cross once the bridge is down.

You know, no one is real found of the walk out of bounds stages for obvious cheap reasons, but if you can direct the majority of the fighting towards the center, I could see this being a good stage... except for Falco's lasors would really Really REALLY ****. lol

You guys are being stupid, don't you realize SSBB will be different from SSBM? Maybe you should not assume everything is exactly like Melee (Ice Climbers chain grab) and just wait till it all gets played out.

I fear for the people who'll get banned for posting topics like these once they exceed 30.

There's not really much to say.

There's the bridge. Read what Problem2 said.

There's Hyrule Castle in the background.
And some canyon.
And clouds.

The boss guy is really pretty cool, at least in the end when he turns into the probably deepest miniboss in the whole series.
He speaks! =O

Other than that... it's the Bridge of Eldin. There's a golden bug at one end of it. Yaaaaaay.

Yeah, the Bridge of Eldin is pretty cool. Bulbin sounds like he'll add a lot to smash battles.

But I'm a bit dissapointed that this is a "walk off" stage. Even if Chainthrowing or Waveshine isn't in the game anymore (not starting a war, speaking hypothetically) we would still have the gayness of people just throwing eachother of the sides. Fortunately this stage looks big enough that you could avoid that situation most of the time.

EDIT: Can people put Spoiler tags around their posts please? Some people aven't played TP yet
(OMGRLY? YARLY!)

um are they using the real version(GC) or the mirror version(Wii) of eldin brige
Good point. . .

*boosts up TW for the wii and heads to eldin bridge*

it looks like they are using the GC version because hyrule castle can be seen on the west side of the bridge in the pic (if your heading north), on the wii its on the east side

Did you even read pass the first picture? Some guy blasts holes in the stage during the whole fight so there's no way that level is anything like FD. And why did you need to make a thread about this anyway? We already know the site to go to it's not like it needs to be translated.

And for those who don't know how to make spoiler tags, type out
and at the end of that type [/spoiler [with another bracket to close the last part of the code]. Even if you just put up *spoiler* some of us will still see glimpses as we scroll down the page.

This is reall cool! Like a bigger Final Destination with a twist.

And yay, a stage with Twilight Princess elements, then Midna is even more likely to be in!
...Okay, I know that is stretching it a little.

This looks like a pretty r*tarded level. Im not looking forward to it cause it moves the characters to the sides of it not in the center. And i hate that you can't fall off the edge unless that ogre guy makes a hole in it.

There's always the fact that you can get KO'd on the top of the screen, and I think this stage will Onnet style (besides the holes in the ground), except flat. This could easily become one of my favorite stages, simply because it's so big. Also, you don't know how often holes are made and fixed, there could be a whole lot of holes at once, and then there would be 3 or 4 places to fall off, and when you think about it, with the stage's length, it could be like 2 or 3 main platforms at once, that are connected every once and a while. I think this will be a great stage IMO.

The Bridge of Eldin is a large bridge in Hyrule that crosses over a bottomless canyon called the "Kakariko Gorge". (Kakariko is a small village in the game, and it is located around the same area.)
Spoilers:
The creatures you saw, King Bulblin and Lord Bullbo, were mini bosses in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. To prevent you from turning back, King Bulblin destroyed the Bridge of Eldin's middle section by warping it to a different area across the land of Hyrule.
Later, you come across this piece of the bridge in the Gerudo Desert, and your character realizes that it is a piece of the bridge. His magical partner, Midna, uses her power to warp the piece of bridge back to Eldin, where it completes the path.
King Bulblin and Lord Bullbo appeared several times throughout the game. Here are some videos that show the battles:

The Very Beginning of the Game, Before the First Dungeon: [you see King Bulblin around 1:00]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeOtERgttS0
(You may notice the clothes Link is wearing, he hasn't received his usual green tunic yet because he helps in a small village working on a farm.)

Around the end of this video the battle is located on the Bridge of Eldin: [however I'd watch the whole thing]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5K61AUfMdo

This is King Bulblin using his giant ax of doom, a little bit before the game's halfway point:

I hope that answered your questions about some background information. :)

I'm looking forward to the Bridge of Eldin stage in Brawl. I think it will be fun.

Did you read what I said? I said FD but with some interactive feautures, and Hallowed Storm you REALLY cleared thinsg up for me.

From what I've seen, you can't get KO'd from the sides, unless you hit someone over the blocks on either side, unless it's just toying with my brain and there's not really anything blocking the sides. Ah well. I'm also wondering if when the middle is blown out, will you be able to grab onto either side like it's a ledge? But yeh, from what I've seen, you can only be KO'd out of the top and when the bridge is broken? Or can you hit people out the sides?

^Obviously no one is going to know those answers for sure, but maybe someone that's played TP can tell me whether the sides of the bridge are blocked in these pics.

I see some people here talking about how massive the level is, but to me the level actually looks tiny! Does this level not look very small to anybody else?

This stage is too mushroom-kingdomy. 95 percent chance itll be banned from tourneys.

So the freeze glitch should be allowed, because you can just not get grabbed...?
Nope, just get better mindgames

Until they release more info on it, I can't tell if they are blocked or not. In the game, the sides of the bridge are only blocked by fire when you battle King Bulblin. After you defeat him at that area, the fire goes away.
Since King Bulblin does make an appearance on that stage, the gates may be blocked by fire.

It's cool, but it doesn't look like the greatest stage to me - But that's only because you can't fall from the left or right. If the holes open up frequently enough, the stage will be fun, but not tournament-legal - Kind of like the Mario stage in the original SSB.

oh but if you are at 10% and got thrown close to one side of the stage and you get smashed you will die... its just the physics of a stage like that one.

I really don't like the background for this stage. It looks like it'll be hard to see, and the sun's in your eyes. I guess I just don't like dusky looking stages.

Will this stage change from day to night, like Battlefield does? That would make sense, not just because time-of-day changes are a feature in Brawl, but also because they are in TP as well. Hmmmm.
