These vids are all friendlies which took place at Chu's house, the night of Feb. 1st. For Chu and I, it was the first time we played Brawl; Dav3 had Brawl for a couple days prior. Hope you guys enjoy.

Can you verify whether Squirtle takes extra damage from Pikachu's electric attacks? (Because it sure seems that way when I've seen them matched up)

Thank you so much for putting these up. Probably the best competitive matches I've seen so far. Keep adding more.

BTW, your Marth is looking very sexy.

Behind you.
Thank you. You've restored my faith that Brawl might be fast enough, although I think the drop to 3 stock is definitely the right decision.

By the way, that shine stall looks like a pretty cool technique. Seems like it'll be very handy for Fox. Do you know if Wolf can pull it off as well?

I hate having the stocks drop down to 3. It's breaking tradition...brings a tear to my eye. I bet you it'll take me some time to get used to setting stock to 3 instead of 4 when I get Brawl.

obviously theres room for improvement seeing as how it was ur alls first time with it but ive been wantin to ask a pro. do u think the games got enough depth to really seperate the pros from joes. seems like sakurai went out of his way for "balance" and gave us a game where u can have half the skill of someone and still put up a hell of a fight due to the games set up. do u guys think maybe it could lead to someone very less deserving taking wins or is it in depth enough to keep the better man on top? P.S. have fun lucky b*stards lol.

In smash the only way its possible to beat someone who's significantly better than you is through the use of things like items and stage hazards.
i dont think brawl will be any different.

Noobs still won't know how to tech chase, shield grab, crouch cancel, float cancel, ledge hop, edgehog, and whatever new adv. techs we come up with. and those things will set us apart.

I liked the IC's , they didn't win, but they gave a good fight. Hopefully it means the IC's aren't nerfed, just different.

It's nice to see some epic faces around the general brawl discussion for a change.

Any plans for future vids to satiate the brawl hunger everyone has around here?

Yeah, you guys definitely need to upload some more vids. Maybe show some of the other characters just so we can get an impression of how good they when played by good smashers. Most of the vids on youtube are either crappy quality or ****ty players.

Anybody notice in the video of Chu's ICs at about 0:55 that he slides backwards and it looked like a wavedash. I didn't see anything that would've done that other than wavedashing, unless the slope of the ship makes you slide, but I doubt it.

The dirtiest tactic in Brawl: Use Squirtle against Chillin, everyone knows he can stand hurting Squirtles.

They're like Mudkip's Grandpa.

As big names in the smash competitive community, do you guys think Brawl will spawn into such a competitve game such as Melee once was/is?
