Brawl Release Date Changed! March 9, 2008 (North America)

Stop moaning about the game being delayed.
The game ISN'T ready yet. For whatever reason, I do not know, i'm not a game designer.
However, I am glad that Nintendo has some quality standards. There are countless ps2 games that have been released ON schedule and were broken pieces of crap. I don't think I have ever witnessed a BROKEN nintendo game.
It doesn't matter WHEN it comes out, just that it IS coming out, and when it does, it's going to RULE.
Have some patience, go outside, play some sports and enjoy LIFE for a change.

The thing you don't understand is it's not the wait we're mad about, it's about the "Planned launch title" to "2007 release" to "December 3rd release" to "February 10th 2008 release" that makes them look really bad. If they are unsure about something, they should stop announcing official statements.

If you're not angry about this issue, it's because you haven't been following it for over a year like a lot of us have.

There are tons of ****/broken Gamecube and Wii titles, you *******.

Lets say I want to get the US version, so I have the game earlier. Would it work on my PAL console? I mean, first of all would it actually work, and second, would the Wi-fi be messed up coz I'm on a US game in the UK? Or would it just be the same?

Won't work unless you mod it or get an import disc, which isn't out yet.

I am well aware of the HUGE set backs and the previous announcements, and I am upset that I won't be able to play it for some time. But, i'm not spewing vicious hate filled comments on a forum in order to vent my disgust and frustration at having to wait all because the game studio FEELS that it's not READY yet.
I am sure you all have plenty of other things to do that could occupy your time. Play some other games, go outside and play some sports, read some books. Enjoy Christmas for what it is, the chance to get together with friends and family and enjoy socialising.
I'm just saying, Smash Bros. can wait. When it comes out, you will love it, and setback will have been justified.
And i'm sorry Xanderous, I can't really recall playing any broken gamecube titles, certainly not anything nintendo themselves made. But now that you mention the wii, i am retracting my earlier statement.

Its horrible! theyve had tons of time to make their release date! THE game had better be SOOOOOO good. like 60 characters, not the 50. if they have 2 months and a week extra, it had better be awesome. and they should get viewers opinions.

I'm over the delay now. We got many gameplay vids, many more to come in e for all, possible trailer for e for all, sonic, and sakurai said he is trying to make this one of the best games ever. So yeah, he better be right.

it wouldn't work on a normal wii, but the modification isn't to complicated. if you really want the game badly, you should dare to tinker with your wii (or let someone else do it).

The Gamecube had several crappy titles. Which is probably why it didn't sell and died out first.

Heck, hakf of us said we wouldnt mind adelay if it meant better stuff.

Maaan, if the European release date is delayed, we'll probably end up getting it in like August 2009. I mean, we all know how long it takes to make a few 10 minute modifications to the US version to make it PAL -____- That's right, 2 years.

please tell me cause i dont know. europe doesnt have a wii? they have a PAL(whats a PAL?)

Hehe, yes Europe have a Wii, but PAL is just the 'nationality' of the console. PAL being Europe, NTSC being America, and J.A.P being Japan. (There are others I think...but they are the ones that spring to mind)

You mean Starcraft 2?

I've waited like 10 freaking years, but they never even said they were working on it. very very very different than pushing an official release date back.

Wow i didnt think i could wait 2 months but now 4 months *sigh* :( Well I just really hope nintendo releases a demo on wii ware for this like the one they are useing at E for all. We can only hope...

yes, I say in the december Nintendo Power they should give a 2 player demo of Brawl. with only the announced characters on it, not secret characters. I think we have earned that , right?

that's what i'm hoping for as well.

and what he means for "virtual console demo" is for them to post a brawl demo for you to download and tie you over until the release date. obviously not a lot, 'cause it's a demo, but it'd still be fun to have.


but still, maybe these next four months they'll touch up the wifi and maybe work on it to make it not so laggy. and they might even be adding new characters, or providing a way to download more content for the game, who knows?

Yes, that would be cool... but sucks for people who, say, don't want to buy new downloads and such.. Then they can't play on any of the new maps tha would be released....but oh well! lol... Yea, he did mention he wants it to be replayable for years, so it sounds like we are going to be satisfied, and we shouldn't complain about the delay. haha

I was kinda ticked, but as stated, more time makes a better game, less time makes it worse(halo2 anyone?) . Take the time they need to make Brawl amazing.

It is impossible to have a Brawl demo downloadable. It's simply too big for the Wii's disgustingly tiny memory storage.
