im just curious how many people here like and/or love bowling.

my freind's parents are pretty intense bowlers and pretty much everything i know about bowling is from them.. i'm not the best, that's for sure.. but at least i know what i'm doing, and i'm not just blindly rolling the ball...

I recently learned how to put spin on the ball. It makes the game quite enjoyable when you get that sweet curve for a strike.

Yes, I've been bowling for 3-4 years, can't remember exactly. A lot of people don't get that it is actually a very technical sport; it isn't just rolling a ball around. There's different core weights, ball materials such as resin or plastic, oil on the lanes, finger fillings that can affect 'the curve', fingering, etc...

I don't remember my exact average right now, but I bowl every saturday morning on a league, they have data there; I'll edit once I get it

I've bowled occasionally... unfortunately you really need a good ball and regular practice to be any good, and when you have an off day, it can be one of the most frustrating experiences in sports.

yea... i went bowling on friday and i did below my average... its probably one of the most irritating things i can think of at the moment...

I love bowling, my dads been taking me since iw as like 5. And all 4 years of high school on the bowling team i had a 200 + average. I haven't played since high shcool tho sadly. Just with friends for fun . Its not the same as competition tho. I should join a league.

i love bowling. i barely get to go anymore even though there's a bowling alley about a 15 min. walk from where i live in philly.

my friend is mad good. used to bowl about a 250 consistantly. and one of my friends bowled one strike away from a perfect game

You just explained, like, three-quarters of the mormon population at my school; they always want to go bowling all the time. A round of applause for Wiki.
I don't bowl for a league or anything, but I do it every now and then with my friends and I'm pretty good. I average about 150-200 a game, usually. Also, I have my own bowling ball that I take with me to the lanes.

It's a lot of fun, even though I suck. The highest I've scored is probably 130? lol.. it's a fun family/friend outing anyway, and luckily most people I play with aren't very good either.

well for me actually its not that fun if u leave ur house, go there to bowl a game then go home right away

it was more fun for me because id go to cc conditioning over the summer and right after the whole team goes bowling.......so its a really nice activity to do with friends after all that running

i agree though, not very good place for a date

Meh, I'm horrible at bowling. I usually get around 110. The last time I played I got a 71. It was horrible.

I've only done it like 4 times because I absolutely hate it. It's just way too frustrating for me. The stupid, uncomfortable shoes, having to make sure you don't pinch your fingers all over the place, the waiting for your turn, the waiting for the ball, the uncomfortable grip, having to pick out a ball, and having the ball go into the freaking gutter every other time is just too much for me.

I quit.
