. . . i think your looking into this to much, or taking this harsher than it really isHonestly this part sounds like an excuse. That's like saying if something isn't important to you, you don't have to be respectful. Like if a friend had a problem that was really important to them, you'd disregard it and waive it off as nothing important. That'd be called being a bad friend and in this situation it's just being a bad person.
Even if you feel you can't relate to American cultural discussions, that doesn't mean you can start disregarding its subject matter and making jokes out of it. Your "meaning" might've been different (ie. making a related joke) but the subject was no laughing matter.
Just because i don't understand the reasoning why does not make me a bad person in general and sounds more like a snap judgement if anything
Also if i wanted to be disrespectful i could of started to mock you guys for this tradition of overshadowing.
And waiving it off as nothing important? Its just two damn holidays, that no one in their right mind will actually forget about, everyone will celebrate them and move on, that's it, the end.
And disregarding anything? I've simply made a connection to my friends post. A connection to his joke only which was about our thanksgiving, the only one who put that post into this whole conversation about "American"was you
And finally, everyone makes jokes, about everything, it was a simple thing between two people that had absolutely no offense to anyone and was simply something between two people who understood it. But for whatever reason you decided to pull it into something that I'm not even sure the post can even relate to now.
And you say i use excusesFiguratively, yes. Literally, no. And I meant it literally.![]()
