An embarrassing thing for me to admit is that I've never beaten a LoZ game. I never went on the computer at the time and I didn't have any gaming friends to show me secrets, so I just kept getting frustrated with them and played something else. Plus I was still young and stuff, lol.

I want to get the new Majora's Mask just to beat it already.

Plus there were these things...

The Oracle games and Awakening being among the few LoZ games that I haven't played....

You should try giving the other Zelda games a shot though. It's just me, but I personally love all of them (if I would recommend trying any first in specific before others, I would go with Ocarina of Time).

The thing is, I love the Zelda games, but I'm awful at most puzzles. I could probably buy some stuff off the VC and give it another shot. I think the furthest I got out of any of them was OoT's water temple.

Oh I know that feeling. I remember one time where I wouldn't play Ages for weeks because I didn't know how to solve one puzzle.

46 I'd recommend not doing OoT Master Quest. The water temple is definitely easier but the other dungeons require more thinking..

The Oracles certainly had a few tricky moments. The dungeon structure itself was always pretty simple though.

With both of the N64 games on the 3DS, I could just buy them and give 'em a shot. I haven't even seen a full Majora's Mask playthrough, so I still have fresh eyes for it.

I didn't expect that. Yeah getting through Zelda games is always difficult, but enjoyable :p

If you really need to, try looking up some guides at some parts that you find too difficult (I needed one for a great portion of the first Zelda). or are just taking way too long to figure out. There are times where I've taken long breaks from a few games just because of how much time I spend trying to figure out one thing, it makes that part of the game unenjoyable for me.

Also, Wallmasters? Common as they are in Ocarina of Time, rest assured they are a minor concern in Majora's Mask. There's actually only two of them in the entire game, and there's only one Floormaster in it as well.

Personally Wallmasters never scared me (they startled me on the first attack, though) but....there was one particular enemy in Zelda that scared the living heck out of me for a long time when I first encountered it. Any guesses on what it is? (it first shows up after a water dungeon in a certain game, so I'm not sure if you'd know)...

Eh, I'll do it. :3 I'm already using it on MLP Forms. KoP just needs to use AB in my place. :p

Oh what the hey, I love this filly Tavi pic but I'll go for it!

I had that issue as well in Master Quest. I needed to find a way to get This one silver Rubee in Canon's castle but it was just too high.. I eventually got it though..

Ocarina's music ( especially the dungeon themes..) is just amazing. Like the Spirit Temple's...

54 my brother had issues with doing the Shadow temple because it creeped him out.. I ended up doing it for him because I never really had any issues with it..

I've never played Master Quest...

Btw, funny thing is there are 3 of us in the MLP Forums counting thread using the adult CMCs as avatars. :p

The redead? I've heard a lot of people hated those guys back then. I'm glad I never reached those tbh, the loss of control mechanics in games used to freak me out because I had a faulty wiring on my controller and I'd think I broke it.

Next time I go to a game store, I'll try and buy the 2 DS games.

I love creepy things. So I loved the Shadow Temple, it was a surprising turn of events and theme in the game.

Though....remember what I said about being seriously creeped out by one particular enemy? Can you guess what enemy that was?

Also, no it's not Redeads. They never scared me either.

The eyeball cloud from Link to the Past? The boss of the Dark World water dungeon?

I'm not really familiar with the LoZ bestiary, so that's all I got :p

I liked weird stuff like that as a kid, but not in games. I never had any horror genres so it would've just been a huge curveball for me.

Bongo Bongo looks like a decapitated man. That torture device in that one room with blood around it seems to be what caused it.

Bongo Bongo's theory makes it look frightening (especially in it's artwork) but no, not it or anything from a Link to the Past either.

Yeah, I eventually did beat Master Quest. The Dungeons were hard and had bizarre designs, and I loved it.

EDIT: Exactly what Metalbro said. That's the theory about Bongo Bongo.

The thought of Bongo Bongo's eye being located at it's neck, where it's head was cut off, is indeed pretty unsettling (especially when you look at the boss' official artwork). Still not the enemy that freaked me out when I was younger, though.

The Shadow Temple even has some guillotines inside of it as hazards.

I really liked the whole beneath the well thing. That place was terrifying.

Oh God, I hate Gyorg. No, it wasn't the enemy that scared me, (hint: What dungeon did Metalbro just mention? :p) but I swear it's like the hardest boss to kill ever.

I don't care what anyone else says. For me, that boss will go up in history as the hardest non-final video game boss ever.

He was human according to an account. His home was located right where the well was and he didn't like what the Sheikah were doing for the royal family so he destroyed his own home to show everyone what they were doing and was excecuted for treason. Honestly one of the most terrifying parts of nightmare fuel from the game. Very good creepy story imo

71 dead hands

"Dead hand? That shouldn't be too sc- oh god wtf is that?"
I have never seen that thing before as much as I can remember. Looks like a human-maggot... thing.

The hardest non-final boss for me is The Forgotten One in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence when playing as Joachim. Kinda obscure, but it was so frustrating because you didn't have a good heal and the worms kept spawning while your swords recharged.

Yes. That thing.....

I hated that thing so much when I was younger. Here's my story with it:

I had no idea where to get the Eye of Truth at first, so I just went straight into the Shadow Temple anyway to see how far I could go. I walked through all those eerie corridors...it felt awesome because I liked that kind of stuff, but then I got to Dead Hand's room....after a few seconds of staring at the long arms rising out of the floor in confusion, I got close to one and it swiftly grabbed me....then Dead Hand itself arose and my vibes changed completely, I nearly jumped back at the sight of it. The disfigured, rotting white corpse creeping right up towards me, and I couldn't even get away from it. I saw it's jaw open up ridiculously wide (which gave me the impression that it was going to swallow Link whole should it have succeeded in attacking. I didn't want to picture that any further...) just as I finally broke free and started attacking it like mad.

I was terrified. I didn't even want to get close to a hand again out of fear of being eaten whole by it, let alone just seeing the creature itself again. I knew I had to go through with it, though, so I slowly but surely fought it, and was relieved once I finally killed it. I still didn't have the Eye of Truth, though, so after a bit I eventually left the Shadow Temple and figured out how to find it. You can imagine I was not happy to see Dead Hand again in the Bottom of the Well....

I'm not scared of it anymore, but that thing just horrified me when I first saw it. And for the next few nights I pictured it passing by my doorway at night in my head. I don't know what triggered me to do so, but it kept me from sleeping well for a couple of nights...

And if you knew where he was you could use bombs to get him to appear.. Which is something you wouldn't have known at the time because they never hinted it..
