uh oh, here we go
THE REAL END OF DAY 5

POTASSIUM...

...was next

The whole crowd looked at him. People had enough of this torture. The bad guys? Who WERE they? Everyone was in a state of panic-driven silence, anticipating the culprits behind all this meddling.

Poor Potassium, getting hit by a shovel from the back. He didn't even see it coming. He MUST be a bad guy...

...And...

He looked up at the crowd from the floor with a sad grin:

"Don't do this... They'll WIN!"

He was knocked out quick.

Potassium, number 6, Vanilla Townie, was knocked repeatedly to the ground, suffering a devastating blow to the head by a rusty shovel.

The whole crowd gathered around his dead body. They heard an unusual sound:

Beep
Beep
Beep

It was a beeping sound, and there was a flashing light emitting from... Red Ryu's shirt. What could this mean?!

"You're too late, folks. Looks like I have this game wrapped around my little finger"

"What do you mean? You're one of the bad gu-"

Booooom

The whole casino collapsed, and the carnage had only just begun...

The blast radius was directly headed towards all the remaining contestants except for Red Ryu himself.

Cassavetes, Number 7, Vanilla Townie, blasted off to space

Cream Team, Number 10, Vanilla Townie, blasted off to space

Wait...

One person's missing!

It was Jexs.

Standing next to Red Ryu, they both shook hands.

"Well done, kiddo," spoke Red Ryu.

#HBC Red Ryu, number 11, Mafia Goon, has won the game.

Jexs, number 1, Mafia Goon, has won the game.

Suddenly a dazzling audience emerged and roared with cheer. This season's bingo game had been a blast! The ratings were higher than ever, and the bad guys win again!

THE MAFIA TEAM HAVE ACTUALLY WON!

Comments and setup to follow!

Lol mad I wasn't here when this went down. Anyways, I was about to have words with you Kata for not putting me in your victor post, then I saw you mention me later, so that'll do, I suppose.

Congrats scum team. I'll post thoughts later after Kata posts his full reveal and game comments.

my analysis before still accounts though, chaco was literally making stuff up on the fly, and nobody bothered to fact check him. He admitted it in the green room.

IDK if I would've lynched jexs or RR though, their early game was amazing.

"Ryu was a challenge as a scum mate because he simply refuses to communicate with his scummates. He thinks it seems more naural to not be in the loop and that's something I abhor. His play has been sloppy, and tbh I DID NOT want him QHing D1 to delay reads on me. I would've much rather him let it play out, but he did well enough with it I guess."

@ Chaco Chaco You are right, I do try to limit how much I talk to my mates so I can try and play as natural as I can. Unfortunately this ruins a lot of my teamwork like play but overalll the idea is to make sure I don't **** up and get lynched if possible. Sorry, I'm open to ideas to improve this if it is a real thing that can piss people off.

It's cool, it's just I think if we have the ability to communicate, use it. It's whats always worked for me as scum, and coming out with a win here is what's important. You guys did a damn good job, and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I was just a bit scared about not having that communication with the two of you left, and JeXs being new. But like I said, JeXs has by FAR held his own. He did a damn good job, and really couldn't have done better. So what I said there doesn't necessarily apply now, Ryu. You both did great, but me personally, I'm one who like to hash a lot of avenues out with my scum team before we act. Fact stands though, we won, and you all played damn good. So no qualms here at all! Like I said though, I just like to communicate, but that's me. whatever works for you, by all means do it! :)

I like to talk a lot too but sometimes I feel like I get too annoying.

imo itd be better to just work on being able to post naturally while still talking to your team mates than ruling out scumchat when scumchat is like the most important part of any scum team

Okay so Town's side first:

9 x Vanilla Townie

Greetings! You are a contestant. You have entered this game as a Vanilla Townie. You win when all threats to the Town have been eliminated.

1 x Town Number Sensor

Greetings! You have entered this game as a Town Number Sensor.

Every Night you can send me the command Check: Section or Check: Line. You can check sections or lines on the bingo board. You will receive a result of scum has been sensed, or scum has not been sensed.

You win when all threats to the Town have been eliminated.

The Finer Details said:
Checking a line:

A line is exactly that, a straight line on the board from start to end. There are essentially 3 lines you can check.

For simplicity, you can tell me the colour of the line you want to check during the Night if that helps, or you can use words like Check: line that runs top to bottom (or even include the numbers... I'm not too fussy with how the command looks like).

Checking a section:

This is a little more difficult to describe, but you're essentially checking a triangle of numbers on the board, represented using compass points. The one you see before you is North East.

East will look like this:

Using these pics, you'll see the remaining sections are split into South East, South West, West and North West.

Let me know if this is unclear.

There is one final piece of information:

There is a gauge attached to your sensor. The gauge starts off filled with a value of 5. Everytime you check a section or line that contains numbers crossed off the board, the value of your gauge will deplete by the amount of these numbers. Once it reaches 0, you will enter a cool down period.

Let me know if you have any questions!
_______________________

Okay you'll notice the lack of Town PRs. This is because the setup was 10 vs 3. That naturally shifts towards Town's favour because they are allowed 4 mislynches, which to be honest is a lot! This is why you'll notice there isn't a Doctor, because can you imagine how long the game would have gone on for if the Doctor protected successfully? AGES!!!

Additionally...

The Town Number Sensor is also an interesting role that we didn't see in action sadly (what on EEEARTH happened to Rake???). Anyway this role can check parts of the bingo board and sense scum. It increases in power massively the longer it is alive, e.g. if it checks a line that has only 1 number left alive then it will determine their alignment completely.

This is why you'll notice the role has a gauge set to 5. Every section or line has 5 numbers. For every 1 number that is dead, checking a section or line involving that number will deplete the gauge. Essentially, if the sensor is still alive and able to check a line that has 1 number left alive, it will determine the alignment at the cost of never being able to do that again! Buahaha!!! Talk about BALANCE :chuckle:

Also this role had a generous trait that was unknown to the person who had the role. As seen in the last bingo board, this trait is something I just made up quickly that basically means when it dies, it will reveal all its results publicly, giving Town evidence to work with. This plus the magic 8-ball meant Town could, inevitably over time, narrow down the seemingly ambiguous results of the Sensor to make more meaningful assumptions, which I thought was a cool dynamic! Sadly this never came in to play!

For the record:

^The Magic 8-Ball was programmed always to land on the number 8. I didn't want a repeat of the Number Cop/Number Mole roles in the previous Bingo game, because I knew once these roles would claim then players would use meta to determine their alignments as Town. This is why I introduced the magic 8-ball and made people pass it around, because that way no one could claim these roles and get a "get-out-of-jail-free" card...

Okay that's Town, I'll do the scum side and bingo powers next. BEAR WITH ME

Here's scum's side:

3 x Mafia Goons
Greetings! You are a fake contestant, though no one knows this. You have entered this game as a mafia goon in a bid to sabotage it. You win once your faction has an undeniable majority rule over all others or nothing can prevent this.

You all share the same role PM, hence why you have all received this message simultaneously. You are free to communicate in this message thread whenever. Please note, any one of you can select the Night kill.

The Finer Details said:
Here is a bingo board:

You and your team have control over the player placements on this board. You have a brief amount of time to tell me how you want to numerically order this board and who will be behind each number (which includes yourselves).

Please communicate here and send me your list ASAP. I will press you if I feel you are taking too slow, and I will assign players by random on the bingo board if you do not make a decision in time.

You can let me know who will be positioned where by easily referring to the bingo board's positions (listed below) followed by a player's name. The positions are listed below:

- Middle of the board

- Top
- Top middle

- Bottom
- Bottom Middle

- Right top
- Right top middle

- Right bottom
- Right bottom middle

- Left top
- Left top middle

- Left bottom

- Left bottom middle

Please note, some numbers have special properties:

7 is a lucky number. This number must be town-aligned. Whoever you pick to be 7 will be bulletproof.

8 is a number that will receive a magic 8-ball in the opening flavour. The flavour will not confirm them to be Town or Scum. This is a ball that finds out the number behind the player on the bingo board. It can be passed on to another player at the end of every Day phase and every Night phase, which is decided by the player holding the magic 8-ball. In the event that a player dies whilst holding the ball, your team will be able to decide where the ball lands next. Also, in the event that everyone's number is figured out, the magic 8-ball will vanish, which will be indicated in the flavour of the game.

13 is an unlucky number. Whoever you pick to be 13 must be positioned right in the middle of the bingo board. This is the only number in which you have no control over in terms of placement on the board.

Please note: 7, 8 & 13 will not be informed of the special properties of their numbers!

Every time a player dies, their number will be crossed out. If you cross your way into the CENTRE (e.g. make a line from the centre of the board to the edge), you will be rewarded with bonus powers that can be used at Night. These are listed below:

[I'll list the powers separately]

You are all able to confirm in the thread as you ponder about how you will manage the bingo board. Any questions, let me know!

Bingos

Purepool Disaster Party
The magic 8-ball will change into a gun! It will not reveal any numbers. Please note, the gun is a fake and no townie will know! It is a party gun disguised as a real gun. When a player shoots the gun, I will write flavour detailing the gun was fake and the shot will consist of bubbles, fireworks & confetti. Whoever is "shot" will receive the magic 8-ball as normal.

Super Lights Out Extravaganza
For a single Day/Night phase, all flips will be disguised as "?????????????". The lights WILL come back on to reveal these flips. Flips will be revealed fully at the start of each next phase (i.e. a ????????????? flip during the start of the Day will be revealed fully at the start of the coming Night).

Stumpy the Clown's Hyper Dead Afterimage
Pick a player. Upon being lynched, they will be change into a Clown, become stumped and their alignment will not be revealed. Their alignment will be revealed as "?????????????" instead. This will last for a single Night phase. Their alignment will be revealed the following Day.

Please note, the stumped player is able to post at Night, and this includes the entire player list. He is able to prank someone publicly during the Night by giving them a "present". No one will know what the present does except for you guys AND whoever is the clown, but it will simply be a posting restriction that will force the picked user to write in this pink for the next Day phase when they open it. Please note: the receiver of the present doesn't have to open the present, but they can open it at any time!

Pecadillo's Grace
This will shoot all living town players, roleblocking them for a single Night phase.

Golden Suction Canon
You will temporarily steal results from players with power roles for 1 Night. They won't receive their results that Night but will receive them the following Night instead. You will also attract the Magic 8-Ball.

"Forgive me Lisa, there's a monster inside of me..."
You will inflict a curse on a single player. I will write flavour in the Night that ghosts have been released into the game. I will not detail anything else. The player who is affected by the curse will be notified of the curse and its effects. Whoever votes the cursed player will be roleblocked the following Night. The roleblock will not affect you; the cursed player will be made aware of this.

This will last a single Day phase only. There will be a special part of the Day's final votecount in which I will detail all those who have been role blocked by the curse! (If you voted, this will include you, despite being unaffected by the curse).

POSTING RESTRICTIONS

Swagflu
The player can only speak using hash tags. 5 hash tags max, and they can only be 1 word long. They can vote as normal.

Nabingitis
A rare posting restriction that can only be caught in Canadian prisons. The player inflicted with this restriction will have to complement the player who posted above them in a very sexual, rapey sloth-like manner... [Edit: How I would regulate this, I haven't got a CLUE!]

Walrus Fever (Antarctic Edition)
The player will become too chill to post. They will only be able to vote and write a single sentence consisting of less than 10 words. They must sign their posts with this image:

Please note, after a player has made a post with a restriction, they must wait for another player to post before posting again.

_______________

Okay so the scum team are standard goons who can manipulate the board. Firstly, I thought it would be interesting if they could assign players to numbers. There was lot of analysis on where particular players should be positioned, which I thought was very interesting to read.

To throw a curveball, some numbers had certain conditions. 7 was bulletproof, 13 was unlucky and had to be located in the middle (because for a bingo to be activated it was the only number that had to die). Finally 8 is the number that would receive the magic 8-ball.

I used 3 goons because they were gonna be powered up by bingos to balance them out. I wanted a mix of pranks and serious powers, so you'll see some powers are your traditional role blocks whereas others throw a huge curveball in the game, like the temporary disguising of flips or the magic 8-ball turning into a fake gun but no one knowing this except scum. I thought it gave the scum team a bit of flexibility though I take any criticism here as I had a bit of fun with these powers!!

Bingo powers were 1-shot and could only be used during the Night. Whether or not mafia had obtained more than 1 power, they could use only 1 at Night.

For the record, scum used Pecadillo's Grace (mass roleblocking everyone) on the Night Nabe passed the magic 8-ball, which roleblocked him and thus he kept the ball that Night. Scum then used the golden suction canon... but because the Sensor was dead, the only thing they'd suck in was the 8-Ball, which is why it disappeared on Day 5...

Anyway that's it! Feel free to comment. I'll give player shoutouts/night actions etc etc in a bit!!!!

why is 10v3 considered town-sided ?_? commenting on set-ups in general, not this game
town already has a poor winrate in 11v2 mountainous although i imgine that's partly because the statistics were using mafiascum as a reference pool. 10v3 is basically hard mode if town has low power. mislynches are very easy to squeeze out as long as town doesn't have an excess amount of clear-generating roles
