Bigger is better and I need more pokemons

I originally bought one hundred pokemon figures from www.LDUcompany.com but they say there are over 400 different kinds. They have one wholesale lot of 440 at this page http://www.liangdianup.com/inventory/109933.htm

Are there really that many different monsters? Every place I look says a different total number. Even the official pokemon website says a different total then some posters that I have seen. Is this a growing number? Do they even have this cartoon anymore?

Japanese=Good because it makes more sense for some strange reason.

Yep, as has been said, there are 493 Pokemon and some alternate forms. To be exact, there are 3 alternate forms for Deoxys, an alternate form for Cherrim, Shellos, Gastrodon, Giratina, and Shaymin. That totals to 493 Pokemon total with 8 alternate forms, or 501 if you combine them.

Although, browsing through the site it doesn't look like every Pokemon is there, nor are all of the forms. I only see one different form for Deoxys, and I don't even see some of the later Pokemon of the fourth generation. Past Palkia there aren't any, unless they're scattered elsewhere.

Also, Linoone is mislabeled Bibarel. And Fearow is mislabeled Moltres. And they have two Gligars, one of which is labeled Gliscor. And there's a Horsea labeled Kingdra. And there's a Charmander labeled Charmeleon.

Had to point that out.

but yea there are only 493, plus 32 alternate formes(unknown, shellos, gastrodon, giratina, shaymin)

ditto should stay the way it is. it could have an evolution with better stats, but transform is a signature move which should not be taken away.
