All 3 of those pokemon have pretty horrible recovery. Charizards up b has horrible DI and bad range. So does Squirtles. Ivysaurs is a teather recovery... Can die at 0% lolz.

I wouldn't say that Charizard's recovery is that bad, he does have the extra jumps and the glide, and the super armor frames on his up-b have saved me from obliteration a few times. His vertical recovery is mediocre as far as distance goes, but he's pretty well set horizontally.

I'm actually thinking about making the tournament after this one a standard, regular ruled, regular CP and Legal stages, 1 CHARACTER, tournament.

I'm sick of losing because I suck with another character.


I'll probably make that my next theme

Also... just a thought, regarding new people who join tournaments. If they have one post, require them to once every three days like everyone else, and if they miss one then kick them out. It will open the tourney scene up to newcomers who actually are prepared to check in regularly. If a newcomer joins who doesn't post, they just lose the spot.

I still don't understand why this means you have to separate the pokemon..

To be fair, it is kinda silly to separate the Pokemon. But then again, it's not a huge deal to have to choose your starter. I pretty much always start the same Pokemon when I use Trainer anyway.

Also 0rion, infinites are inescapable, you can do things to get out of/avoid CG's

You can avoid infinites, too, Barge. You know better than that. It's the player's responsibility not to get infinited, just like not getting thrown, spiked, or smashed.

Also, no, you can't get out of true CGs. True CGs aren't DIable, and therefore the only escape is getting CGed to a ledge and/or having the opponent mess up their timing.

Wrong. No real fighting game tournament worth their salt bans infinites in any game.

Plus even if they aren't banned, there must be a limit.

Its not that hard to not get grabbed by DDD.

There is an expressly-written limit in the official rules list:

Any infinite chain grabs most end quickly after 300% has been reached so as to prevent excessive stalling.
