Some Norweigian site claims the game is called "Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts". I would wait until Rare actually releases info themselves to criticise the name.

*facepalm*

Banjo 3 came out for the X-Box. Am I the only true Banjo fan here?

Nope, I'm a major fan of the series.

And whats wrong with it coming out on the 360?

No, I mean that Banjo 3 already came out for the original X-Box. Like. A long time ago.

Didn't that game have guns, and a squirrel, and a Saving Private Ryan parody?

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (360)
- RARE says they didn't want to make a hi res version of the old Banjo platformer.
- You create vehicles with parts you find around the levels.
- GI says their first vehicles was a 4 wheeled kart with a spring attached to the bottom that allowed them to jump things. They later found a helicopter blade that allowed their kart to fly. Later they added balloons to the vehicle and put the blade on the back and created a hovercraft.
- RARE showed them a vehicle that was a monster truck that was able to detach its chasis to become a mini bike. When the bike ramped off a cliff it revealed collapsible glider wings and started flying.
- There will be 1,600 parts including weapons that you'll be able to attach to the vehicles.
- The town is called Showdown Town.
- GI says that despite the large focus on vehicles it still features platform elements from the previous games like traditional platforming, tight rope walking and jiggy piece collecting.
- Showdown Town is 16 times larger than anything RARE has created before.
- Every level has a different intro. Nutty Acres begins with a credits spoof of 80's soap opera's like Dallas.
- Note collecting is back and will act has currency that'll allow you to bu vehicle blueprints.
- RARE says there are 15 different challenges spread across 6 different levels. There will also be side missions

I'm getting kind of worried now..

This doesn't seem like the platformer that I used to enjoy and love. :(

Hold your tongue knave!

No Nintendo fan would say this.

Also, I'm shocked and appauled, I do miss the old B&K style, collecting abilities, doing things without resorting to vehicles...

Anyway, I'm going to wait to see how this works out, but I'm not quite sure what Rare is doing...

I'm also angry at the last few seconds of this trailer. Very.

They had to get one last shot in at Nintendo huh?

Judging from the trailer, the game didn't look too bad... but it didn't look like Banjo-Kazooie either. After that ending, I don't even know if I want to play it.

I actually agree now...

It seems Microsoft ruined Rare.....

And I suppose there is some cube modeling tool, as to why Mario is there. I shall spell out Microsoft in cube letter, then destroy it.

You and me both brother.

Although y'know, I do LOVE the customization of vehicles, and the seeming ability to make any vehicle to whatever you want, but....

Why did they have to try this new idea with BANJO AND KAZOOIE? Not their last great series.....

Why......

Looks more like a mix on Conker and Ratchet and Clank. :/

Not to say it isn't cool though.

Looks like Kazzoie's just for comic relief then actually doing anything though.

I saw another gameplay video, and it sort of gave me some hope. Who know, it might turn out really good.

What? How? Rare was losing "it" before Nintendo dropped refused to buy them and instead got bought up by Microsoft. Star Fox Adventures wasn't good, Perfect Dark Zero was terrible, Kameo was alright but Viva Pinata was fantastic. Viva Pinata is a reminder why Rare is still one of the developers that everybody watches to see what they're up to. I'm way more excited about the Viva Pinata Trouble In Paradise announcement than the Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts announcement, but I am looking forward to seeing how this plays.

The video on gamevideos.com doesn't really show enough, I would've liked to see some boss sneak peaks, they put a huge emphasis on showing off the vehicle creation system, which I'm sure will be great, but I'd rather watch somebody play for 10 minutes or so than watch a montage of a bunch of different vehicles you can end up making.

Really? I heard Viva Pinata was terrible.. And I was speaking for the games Rare developed for the N64 like Donkey Kong64, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Goldeneye, etc. I can't really vouch for anything on the Gamecube. But its pretty clear too me that Rare isn't what it used to be.

Wow, I've changed my mindset after hearing more about this.

This game will be awesome.

According to a rare rep, the vehicles were an idea they meshed around even before they made Banjo-Tooie.

Also, the vehicle customization is SOOOO in depth, you can put anything anywhere... putting wheels on the TOP of the car, and flipping it over, you'll literally drive upside down.

Putting a spring on the front of a car, it'll continually flip forward over and over as you drive.

It's soooo in depth, and vehicle movement etc. will only be roughly half of the game, the rest, left to traditional platforming from BK + BT.

Plus, look at the graphics.

This game is going to be amazing, and I'm very excited.

At first I was disheartened by the fact that I wouldn't be able to play a third Banjo game...

...but screw vehicles, this looks stupid. I watched the trailer, and Banjo looks like a cube. The vehicles thing is stupid as well, and I am SURE they will be the main focus of the game, no matter what "platforming" elements make it in.

Isn't it funny how they blow the head off the Nintendo character, but that's what got them started in the first place?

"...his mighty shadow", awesome.

This game is building up so much hate, I hope between hours of customizing a vehicle you will use for 15 minutes just so you customize it again, there can be something fun.
That comic was awesome.

And judging from a gameplay video, the customization proccess is fast, so I'd have fun with it anyway.

One thing I've grown to like about this game is how innovative it is, the vehicle interface is soooo massive.

This will be great, and I cant wait...

I don't get all the haters...

based on one video that was obviously focused around ONLY showing off the new vehicle aspect (which looks AMAZING, and you can't deny that), you seem to think that the game will be nothing like a Banjo-Kazooie game, despite the fact that Rare has said it will retain the traditional platforming elements (it's Rare. they're not know to lie about stuff like that). seriously. your making a conclusion based on practically nothing. by the looks of it, this games is going to rock balls, and you know it.

with that said...

the vehicle system looks FU(KINZG AWESOME!!! you can do ANYTHING with it! ANYTHING. did you see that part at the end!? then that big car broke apart into a little car with glider wings!? YOU CAN MAKE A CHITTY CHITTY FU(KING BANG BANG CAR!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I read that there would only be 6 worlds (apart from the dozen or so present in the 64 games) and judging from what I've seen of these worlds - they're all enormous - so running on foot really isn't going to cut it. It's vehicle-based, whether or not these "platforming" elements make it in. I did also read that jiggy's, music notes (currency), and honeycombs will return, but vehicles seem to be replacing feathers, eggs, and the like.
