That'd make for a really good setup, actually. It would appear that he isn't present, early on, but you only need Dedede to make one misstep in his running of the kingdom for Meta Knight to show up with his massive overkill battleship to try and take charge!

Since a bandana denotes a hard worker in some cultures (including Japan's), he could be further differentiated from Sailor Waddle Dee, on whose personality his appearance in KSSU is somewhat based, by making him seem a bit overworked at times. This is due to his own zealous dedication to defending the one who he addresses as "Great King", however, not due to any orders. This would accentuate his loyalty even more - not that there's any question of it as is, though.

As Bandana Dee3 says, some backstory on how he landed his post would also be good. Just how did a Waddle Dee land the appointed task of being the bodyguard of King Dedede, who is without a doubt the toughest guy in Dream Land, and probably on all of Popstar? Could he have saved his life somehow? Did he work really, really hard in order to work his way up the ranks of the royal staff? Did he pester Dedede until he eventually gave in? (Well, ok, probably not that last one - Dedede is quite stubborn.)

She WOULD be unique.
Dixie Kong may be aesthetically similar to Diddy Kong, but Dixie Kong would have attacks involving her hair mostly; it's a major part of her character.
She could share some of her moves with Diddy Kong, but the concept of her fighting style would be drastically different and would make her a unique character (think of Luigi; he shares some moves with Mario, but he is a drastically different fighter).


I think that he would be given a Parasol like the other Waddle Dees.

I guess so, She could actually be unique.

If I recall correctly a lot of Dedede's army has spears however only Bandana Dee and the ones from the opening cutscene in Kirby Triple Deluxe have the red ribbon. Now I'm really interested!

Now. I don't think BDee could have one, 'cause he most likely can't talk. But what if Meta Knight had one added for Bandana Dee, maybe even Dedede (Probably not the latter)? I was more or less pointing out that Shovel Knight hasn't been released in Japan, yet D-man wants to point out a flaw of Isaac's sub-par popularity in Japan. If both characters are popular in the west, then they're both popular in the west. You can't hold one character's popularity (Or lack of) in Japan against them, then not apply that same logic to the other.

Also, I highly doubt that BD is the one being referenced in that supposed "leak". Too many possibilities to even narrow it down.
