I just realized something. If Bandana Dee's final smash is an edited Waddle Dee Army, why not have a thousand Waddle Dees falling from the sky in their infamous trip animation?

Btw, @ Thelimomon Thelimomon amazing pictures and sprites of Bandana Dee.

I like the Waddle Dee Army as a concept but I always felt like it was sadly lacking as a final smash. The Waddle Dee moved so spaced out from each other and I felt that killing with the final smash wasn't all that hyped as other finals smashes. At least with Dedede's new FS, he he captures you, you're screwed guaranteed.

Might be better to have Bandana Dee's FS be Megaton Punch

Thank you very much! I really appreciate it! :chuckle:

I wrote a tutorial on how I make my drawings step by step.
Unfortunately, I didn't explain how I make the recolors, since I am still searching for a way to make it easier. (As soon as I find something, I'll let you know!)

If you want to check it out by yourself, even though it's not about recoloring, here you go:
http://thelimomon.deviantart.com/journal/How-to-draw-In-a-very-awkward-way-Like-I-do-530021017
I obviously have some learning ahead of me during my free time. Thanks for linking me!

The trip animation should be his dash attack, powerful like Dedede's. As for his FS, I'd love for Megaton Punch if its not a Down B, otherwise the Waddle Dee tank or Landia would be exceptional.

I'm glad there's such an awesome support for Bandana (Waddle) Dee here! You can't really take GameFAQs seriously about 70% of the time, so I personally wouldn't worry about it too much. All I wanted was to just inform the support thread, because I was just a bit concerned on how many messages were already made before I posted the link. (Around 50 or so in a few hours).

But sorry to anyone who I caused stress over this! Again, GameFAQs shouldn't be taken seriously (most of the time, about half the topics consist of mini-game styled things), so again I hope this didn't cause too much stress. :)

But, I am really happy that this thread has gained so much support over the past few years and I personally think Dee has a unique, high chance over some newcomers. (Being he has the upper hand being in a popular franchise, suspicious non-trophy, and doesn't have DeDeDe to serve anymore (in his move-set)!

Fixing Spoiler tags is a pain...

It probably can't, which is why it was changed. I won't be surprised if they give BD a Fire Emblem style Critical Hit Final Smash.

:231:
iI hate that idea... I dont want him to have something bland like that

Chandelure tried that with the Bandana Briadge page. It kind of died out over time though.

When the roster was confirmed all the non confirmed character threads were locked, that's why I made the group.
There is not really a reason to use it now that this thread is unlocked again.

About Bandana Dee at E3, I personally doubt it, it will probably be Wolf, Ryu and Roy or something like that.

The thing is, I doubt Sakurai will even consider putting in anymore Kirby characters for the rest of the year. :( Barely anyone pays attention to the Kirby franchise. "It's too baby-ish!" "The Kirby franchise already has enough representation." Yeah, because 3 characters in a 51 character roster is enough. -_- People really do say Kirby is for babies. When they do, I show them 02. Which reminds me:

Sweet dreams. :joyful:

Oh yeah, E3. I honestly expect either Roy or Ryu will be reveiled before E3. Remember, this is Sakurai we are talking about so anything is possible.

Kirby is for entry level players and especially the young and this isn't a bad thing at all. The fact that Kirby has many adult fans and fans who have aged and still enjoy the series is a testament to it's power. It's a franchise that prides itself on gameplay that is engaging but a more smooth joy ride for veteran players while still providing challenges in the form of complete collection and extra modes. I mean Kirby games have a hardcore fan base in Japan lol. Yet it's an easy enough franchise for someone new to gaming to get a start. Especially when it comes to developing the motor skills and accuracy required in understanding button input to the action on screen. Ever watch a kid awkwardly play a platformer? Not yet developed a keen connection between controller and game? Especially a kid who got into gaming just a little bit later or just isn't naturally attuned to it? Kirby is the perfect starting game. Where as Mario is intermediate, Kirby is beginner.

When I was a kid I often had to share the gaming system with my brother. I would play second player with my brother when a game allowed but most of the time I watched him play. It wasn't until my gameboy that I had my very own hardware and that's where I first played Kirby's Dreamland. The game seemed a LOT longer and more of a journey to complete back then but now I can beat the game in 5 minutes (it's that short, lol) Still I couldn't tell that as a kid since it was one of the first games I beat by myself and helped me to become the gamer I am now. I recently made G3 rank in MH4u a much harder franchise and known to be 100x less welcoming to newcomers than Kirby. Yet I still love the Kirby games and find them to be a joyful and mostly stress free break from the demanding games I play now. When I do want more challenge from them I do everything I can possibly do in them and because of Kirby's great design with his powers being so interesting, I find myself enjoying arena power runs for extra challenge and I enjoy getting 100% as well as platinum medals in challenges. I put over 60 hours into Triple Deluxe beating my time as best I could in Dedede Tour, getting platinum medals in drum dash, beating Kirby Fighters on Very Hard with ALL powers, and doing Arena runs with a variety of powers like Ninja and Ice (as well as trying to speed run arenas. I still want to go back and beat my time in that game eventually).

Sooo... if people diss Kirby for being for beginners than just ask them why that's such a bad thing. Especially when the games are so good, have enjoyable extra modes, and do have challenge for those that are actually interested in Kirby's concept and want to pursue it themselves. The design is open with options and that makes the franchise so great.

I mean being aimed at kids isn't a bad thing. Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks films have a target audience of mostly children and yet MANY adults enjoy them with no problem. Many adults admit to liking them...

So what's wrong with being an adult admitting you like Kirby? When something is good, it's good. Regardless.

I don't think I've properly introduced myself, at all actually, haha. As many say, I have be lurking around here for a good while (over two years actually), but for some odd reason I never made an account! I can't be more happy that I'm finally a regular user on these forums, even though my rank doesn't actually say how long I've been on. :dizzy:

Bandana Dee has always been my most wanted fighter in Smash and is one of my favorite video game characters I've encountered! But, even though he's still getting used to his new-found popularity, I know at some point he'll be in for sure (As a fighter, of course)! It was a wild ride seeing the hype train at its max extent as a viewer and even though some may have gotten off board, it's still going strong!

I'll keep it short, but all in all I just wanted to say this thread has been my favorite to visit and has such a strong, positive spirit of Bandana Dee! As I said before, he really does has an unique advantage over other newcomers and there's no doubt that he has a great chance of becoming an interesting, fun, and agile fighter!

All I know is that I've voted Yes!, for Bandana Dee and oh! One last thing... Bandana Dee for DeeLC! :chuckle:

Kirby games do have such a personality to them only Kirby can pull off. I sometimes feel like they use Kirby to experiment (Ex. Kirby Canvas Curse, Kirby's Epic Yarn, and Kirby And The Rainbow Curse), and I think they can become fan favorites even though it somewhat breaks the formula a bit. Even though I personally prefer the normal, adventure / platformer Kirby games, I think it's good that they mix it up a bit to keep the series fresh.

To keep on topic, since Bandana Dee is basically a major character in the Kirby franchise, I'd think this would make a very interesting game idea, even if it is a spin-off.

P.S. - That picture made my day! :p (GhostlyLure - E3 is June 10th for Nintendo, btw)

But... Am I the only the one who really misses Kirby Right Back At Ya'!, and thinks it would be even better if they brought it back nowadays with so many more characters?

Points at you,YES!
I feel that I would like to have Bandanna Dee replace Escargoon or Waddle Doo. King Dedede not be a complete douche and give Meta Knight a new voice god I couldn't stand it!

Oh Bandana Dee would definitely replace Waddle Doo in terms of leading the Dees. Waddle Doo would... Go lead the Doos. Now that I think of it, I actually liked King DeDeDe's voice, for some reason I felt like it fit him and his personality. But that was over 10 years ago.

Meta Knight on the other hand could use a new voice, but I wouldn't mind all that much if it was the same (Meta Knight makes any voice sound pretty awesome). :shades:

For NME, that's something that would change the entire plot as a whole. All I could think of is maybe involving the Squeak Squad as major / side antagonists, but that's kind of dated and would only work if the next Kirby game majorly involved them. I'd just think that it would be a nifty idea, and with the different type of Squeaks, each one could appeal to different ages / audience.

For a major MAJOR antagonist (besides DeDeDe, if that's the case), Dark Matter (Sword Form) could be a good choice and could travel through different planets (other than Popstar in the Kirby galaxy), or Galacta Knight could involve a sub-plot with Meta Knight.

Magolor could also play a really good SPOILER: Antagonist... But He's kind of a good guy now, but who knows!

There's really almost TOO many ideas they could do, and they would have so much material that they could have a great balance between relation to the games and the own show's genre.

@ GamerGuy09 GamerGuy09 is is this your dee?
What do you mean my "Dee"?

Anyway, what I love about Kirby music is out of every series it seems like their music goes the most hard. Like something you would head bang to at a rock or dubstep concert.
