Yeah Shulk is all about spacing and utilizeing the Monando arts to your advantage. B-dee might be a spacing type of character. I'd probably look into maining him if he gets in the game.
Also yes the Monado is a sword... that lets you see the future, beat up robots and, is the obsession of an 18 year old who feels that is its his time.

Shulk's range is absolutely insane. Want to know how insane? Let's say you use Shulk's side smash and Marth or Lucina use their counter at the tipper of the Monado's beam; their Counter won't even hit Shulk. It comes with the major price of his attacks being extremely laggy.

Bandana Dee would be more of a spacing character, with the tipper of the spear being the most powerful part of it. However, I think he would be more light and nimble with minimal end lag on most of his attacks; this results in Bandana Dee having more trouble KOing opponents than Marth for example.

The tip of the spear would definitely be important with BD. But getting smacked with a wooden pole would hurt, no doubt. :p

he would be perfect for teams if you think about it team bandana dee and King DeDeDe oh they joy it would bring me seeing them back together again as buddies

In Kirby return to dreamland he can throw his spears and keep enemies at a distance if that's a good enough projectal/spacing option

I know right? In the same game an italian plumber, a blue hedgehog, a super fighting robot and a yellow dot eating monster fight on a platform flying endlessly through space.

Bandana Dee would make a great Space and Chase Character. The spear giving Close-qaurters range and priority and thanks to the Spear a Projectile with Spear throw.

And though a Side-B move:
How about a polevolt like move with his spear that launches him forward (air or ground) for a kick? Imagine it works a bit like Shiek's bouncing fish.

I always wanted Spear Toss to be his >B due to one reason. Mobility in air. Bandana Dee was able to move horizontally in RtDL while using Spear Toss repetitively in air, and that would give him more recovery options and helps prevent edge guarding.

Hmmm I see what your saying but then what would be his Standard Special? Plus if Kirby eats him wouldn't spear toss better represnet Bandana. Besides this is just me my mains include Mario, Luigi and Pikachu and with some practice and with some skill and prowess I learn to move back and forth through the air with ease and no problem using moves like Fireball or Thunder jolt. Plus B-REVERSING! Can make for some interesting mind games.

Heck if you want to go all out then it could act like an item pull out, like Link's bombs or Peach's turnips. (But that would make him a bit broken) XD
