Thing is not every boss needs this theme and there's nothing that really cements Dark Matter is an overreaching villain other than design nods. Much of which is done because fans always make a big deal of how eery Kirby bosses can be and than always give Dark Matter as an example. It's not even uncommon for HAL to borrow design elements and straight up moves from all it's previous bosses. It's just something they do. It can and it can not mean something. Maybe that's for their fans to decide but it's not set in stone and it certainly doesn't have to mean Dark Matter is the only threat or that other bosses aren't compelling and fascinating bosses on their own with their own agency in regards to their evil plans.

I've said it before and I've said it again, If he was at all considering a character as playable he wouldn't waste time and money making them into an assist

You are absolutely correct. The themes and motifs used in the various bosses could mean absolutely nothing at all as there is no definite proof of a connection between them and Dark Matter doesn't have to be the only threat. My point is that the negative reaction toward Sectonia was based on the fan theory that everything is related to Dark Matter. I'm not trying to argue that the theory is absolutely true, what I'm saying is some fans of Dark Matter do not like Sectonia because she does not tie in with said theory.

It may not be the best reason to criticize Sectonia, but it doesn't have to do with her not being eerie or grimdark enough. I'm also not implying that she isn't a good boss.

I mean, really, it seems that a lot of the people who are against Bandana Dee don't really have good reasoning.

Yes, I have been supporting for DHD to be in Smash since 2002. My DHD thread had a few supporters but didn't see much activity from June 2012 to July 2014.

The reason the DHD thread got a large amount of supporters was because most people were suddenly jumping on the DHD bandwagon after the Ninka/Vaanrose leaks claimed that DHD was going to be in the game, after Takamaru was shockingly deconfirmed, and especially after the ESRB leaks showed pics of DHD.
The DHD thread is pretty much quiet now... just like it used to be before the leaks. At least I got what I wanted. :4duckhunt:

I love how he calls Bandana Dee bland and generic, even though there's absolutely no other character in Smash who fights with a spear. Also, the fact that he assumes Bandana Dee would be lighter than Jigglypuff... Wow. Yeah, those "actual logical reasons" of his... More like "false facts I'm pulling out of thin air"...

Hm strange because I have read criticisms where some folks did dislike Sectonia because she wasn't as creepy as Zero. That she didn't give them the same feeling of immense darkness that the classic boss did. A matter of personal preference if folks want every boss to be like that. I guess maybe NOT all have the same reason for disliking her If people are THAT dedicated to the idea that Dark Matter is behind the corruption of every boss than Sectonia definitely didn't give as many hinted implications of that. If anything I suppose there's the idea of the Amazing Mirror being a culprit in her corruption instead. Regardless of the specifics, the criticisms are out there. Though I think Queen Sectonia is growing on some folks who consider her refreshing.

Anyway... I want to hear this song now...

I'm sure Ammy would get a great moveset, I'm talking more along the lines of "feel". Imagining Ammy, a completely anatomically correct wolf (I know she's a goddess) in with a cast made up of nearly human animals or otherwise cartoonish creatures just feels weird. I wouldn't object if she got in though.

The fact that Smash 4 lacks songs like Dirty and Beauty, Moonstruck Blossom, C-R-O-W-N-E-D, Under my Control and Another Dimension makes me deepressed.
