I have a ton of work due for the next couple of weeks, no ride to this tourney and I said I wasn't going to play anymore but if you do something that's different and worth it I will try to get there somehow.

This is why I'm having a very difficult time when I'm deciding what to do for Saturday.
These are the difficulties I'm facing..
- Ban period
- Ban in doubles
- Ban either Rainbow Cruise or Brinstar

I'm trying to make the most justified decision that benefits the most people. I'll probably have a final post on this topic tonight.

Ban MK.

If he gets banned you can say you were one of the first. If he doesn't, eh, it was fun and worth a shot.

Don't just ban Rainbow or Brinstar only. That's a ***** move like LGL and scrooging rules.

For benefiting people, the right choice would be to do nothing. But **** that.

PS: If anything, do ban brinstar and/or rainbow cruise. MK isn't the reason those stages are broken, many other characters break them too. They are so unbalanced for so many reasons and just give certain characters free losses and other characters free wins. And honestly, MK goes even/loses some matchups on more neutral stages.

If we go i'll let you know. Im pretty sure we pass through toledo on the way up there. I'm only going if I can get enough people in the car for gas to be super cheap though. Ill ask around today/tomorrow and send you a pm when I know whats up.

I'm gonna play the devil's advocate for that steller argument.

The only salt is coming from the people who main an incredibly overpowered character, yet don't want to admit that without the crutch that MK gives them they wouldn't beat anyone ever.

All I'm saying, and I don't want to piss people off or anything, but all I'm saying is the last BAMF, when Gio, Marco and I got spanked (I still got spanked at the AA tourney). No one was saying we needed to ban mk then, but is ironic that as soon as Marco won against some people that are considered good, the mk ban talks started happening.

I'm not claiming this is the reason I'm not claiming it isn't... just food for thought. And I won't be salty if mk is banned, for real I won't. I have always been wanting to learn melee and play it competitively but what held me back was that I played brawl first so my skill in brawl was always higher. If mk is banned I will have to learn a new character, and that would take time. I would just learn melee instead since it would take the same amount of time and is what I really have been wanting to do. Win win for me awwwwww yeah.

MK ban came up because it's a big topic of discussion right now on the rest of the boards. It's not an MI only thing.

Also I assumed it's because everyone used MK in doubles to a ridiculous degree.

I brought it up because of the former reason. And I want to see a ban somewhere.

The ban MK hype has increased exponentially within the past few days. Genesis 2 kind of triggered it. My tournament just kind of escalated it here though. And then Kevin, is pouring gasoline on the flames..lol

Don't ban mk until/unless the bbrrc does. Nobody will take the results of the tourney seriously. Ban Brinstar, (which is banned by one player or the other in virtually every set ever played anyway) I'm seeing a LOT of tourneys starting to fool around with banning this and PS2, and I see little to no complaining about it.

Also, banning mk when nowhere else does, and by so doing screwing like 4 of our consistent tourney goers over is silly.

I promise to keep you guys up to date though on stuff. We're about to do some big changes soon and Ive been pushing for MI's case for a long time now.

Getting rid of Brinstar or Rainbow is just like adding in the LGL or a scrooging rule or whatever other rule is there for MK.
