Don't make an attempt at getting it out of him people, I tried to on MSN but to no avail.
Anyway, I was quite bored today and it looks like it's going to be like that for the rest of the week. So, if anyone is up for any smash over the next three days, (Sunday aswell, depending on where you live) please get in contact with me. I need something to do

**** seb, it would be a shame if you couldnt come, i enjoied vs you at n2c and i was hoping i could have another crack at you. Anyway its back to trianing on computers for me, my little bro is too scared to take me on or even just to help me train (when it comes to video games he has the worst temper, he has gone through 3 gamecube controlers already).

Bad news Cao(on my part anyway), I'm not entirely sure if I can make it. My mum's being a tight *** and not letting me go. I might still get there somehow, but I'm not entirely sure.

I'd like to bring to your attention this thread. Its our next OHN. I'm not sure how familiar you are with these, but they're our biggest event of the year. And for the last few, they've been the main excuse for SFers around the country to get together in one place.
I'm very interested to see a Smash tourny at our next OHN. However, I'm not in a position to request one Wink. But if someone where to put forward a proposal that has pretty much the same content as that post you put up (I'm aware that you didn't write it) [Ed: I Wrote it], plus add in the other details we're after, then I'm sure it would be accepted.
My skill of Smash is pretty casual at best. But I do understand most of the top level play, as I do with most other fighters. More to the point though, is that I'm very keen to see some top level play. Although there is a chance that the Rev + Smash Rev will be out by the time we run OHN5, I'm sure there will still be enough interest in Melee to warrant running it.
Ok, so what is the incentive for you guys then? Well, all the venue stuff is completely provided by us. We've got a really good relationship with EGG who are able to get us large areas of the UTS in Sydney. The entry fee would be small (less than $6 per person. The more people we expect, the less the fee is); this of course is seperate to tourny entry. We've also got at least 7 TVs for you to use (if we are expecting more people, then we'll buy more TVs; this might add to the entry fee cost a little). Of course, people are welcome to bring their TVs if they wish (see thread). I can provide a cube+smash+data, and I'm sure there are more at OH who can provide the same too. The only thing we can't guarantee is the numbers... but that's where you guys would come in Wink.
From the looks of the turn out of the SEAT tourny, I'm sure there will be plenty of numbers. Also, at the last OHN, I had quite a few people express interest in seeing top level Smash play. I hinted that it would be a possibility next year if the right people were involved. This would be a great chance to show other fighting game fanatics how deep and fun Smash really is.
I was going to post up a link to our OHN5 thread on Smashboards. But seeing as you've shown interest here, I thought I'd give you a head start.

CAOTIC thinks someone here should stand up for Smash. This would fire up NSW Smash and finally place a national Smash focus on the Hub of Australian cities, Sydney.
If you guys want a Sydney Smash Tourney, this would be by far the BEST WAY TO GO.

I cant just pickup and shoot off to Sydney. I'm busy for the next 4 yrs =p Depends when it is. Sydney isnt far at all. I'd drive it in my car without worry. Its the time frame OHN takes places in that I'm concerned with. Is it a school holiday event? Because I dont have them anymore.

Nup, screw Melbourne, they ain't gonna organise ****, so I'm advocating for Sydney Smash. I'll somehow brainwash ppl to go to Sydney to help create the Smash Scene they never had, lol.

OzHadou Nationals. It's an event which has all the popular competitve fighters, such as SF3TS, MVC2, GGXX#, Tekken5 etc. FinalAtomicBuster wants Smash to be a part of the next OHN, but realises there needs to be an incentive for the best Smahers (from Melbourne and Perth of course) to come. Well the city itself is a pretty refreshing incentive, as well as getting NSW Smash up and running - Sydney can't do it on their own, at least I can try help.

I don't really want my last tourment to end at Seat2, as I have no one to play back here. So if something happens in Sydney there is probably a high chance that I would try and make it. I don't know if its a good idea or not,as it is a new area but the amount of skilled players willing to travel is my only concern.

Yay I can go,if i dont have work. I still have friends in Sydney and i sort of remember my way around the city, but i would have to fly up and reliy on public transportation to get to one place or another

I've watched lots of arcade OzHadou tourneys as I quite like SF3TS, I know if I was in the same room as SF3TS I'd be tempted to stray from smash.
