I will be coming to this, possibly with some other people, and with a full Melee setup, but I work at 7:55 pm that Saturday, which means I need to be on the road at 6:30 at the latest. (Kind of want to avoid requesting off/calling off within the first couple months at my job)

I know it depends in the number of entrants, but any idea when the Melee singles bracket will start? (Roughly.)

Either way, I'd be glad to get some mm's, teams, and friendlies in at least.

Melee Singles starts at 2pm and will be done by 6pm. We're not doing traditional round robin pools at this.

You're absolutely welcome to join in. Never having attended a tournament is a good thing, you got that clean slate. And this would be a great first tournament to attend, with it being a fun mega-local before Big House.

Cool! Well I'll definitely make it for the P:M singles then, not sure if I'll be able to make the earlier Melee brackets or not.

Are you ****ing kidding me...

I'm completely out of my competitive mindset. I'm tired of playing to win. I'm only going just to add the $20 from my tournament to the circuit pot, and to do other TOing duties to prepare for BH3.

I will not be entering anything or doing any MMs until I step my game up and actually feel like playing to win again. But for now, I'm just playing to learn.

I find the statement to be shockingly true.

I compare trying to win every friendly in Smash to trying to reverse-engineer the answer to every problem on a math homework assignment. You win in your own frame of reference, but someone else who puts in actual effort to truly learn the problem and work towards a solution is going to be much better off in the long run.

Alright everyone, it's official... we're having a Project M Crew Battle Exhibition at this!

It's gonna be a 6v6 crew battle, Team Melee vs Team Brawl.

The Melee captain will be Shady. The Brawl captain will be Ally. Send your lineups to me by Thursday night!

We can make it a 6v6. And I'm just looking for a tentative lineup, you can of course change it on Saturday if there are no shows.
