I just came to the realization that I might have ADD.
I hate that "disorder." Everybody has the inattentive form in some degree so usually if they have 5 or so of the inattentive symptoms theyre slapped with it and the parents have a reason that their kid is ****ING ********.

I tend to forget things that I don't care about, even when I want/need to remember them.

I can have a direct conversation with you and then I'll say "what did you say? Seriously, I was listening, but instantly forgot."

I tend to constantly double check what someone was saying if they were giving me some directions.

Maybe this is the source of the red half of my personality. :glare: I'm hoping that I don't have ADD, but if I do there might be a chemical fixture for some of my terrible memory problems. I can't wait until the days were I can just plug a HD into my brain.

ADHD kid here.
Believe it or not, it is an actual thing. When growing up I had a huge problem with school and basic behavior, and the diagnosis and medication helped immensely. Not all parents just throw their kids at the doctor and shove pills down their throats. Mom tried all kinds of diet changes and non-medicated treatments that pretty much had no effect. Once I started Ritalin I went from an awful problem child into a great student and the paragon of morality I am today. The whole "it makes kids zombies" mentality is bull.

I'm not saying that the issue of over-diagnosis isn't a problem, I don't know enough about the statistics to make a reasonable call on the matter, but there is a flip-side to the "just spank 'em and he'll learn" the Dr. Phil tuff-love crowd likes to pretend doesn't exist.

Just sayin.

I used to think the same way as TMH. But now, I believe it.

I'm a sensitive guy believe it or not.

OCD here, it's legit. Do you have little bunny rabbits jumping over telephone poles and mailboxes when you're going down the road?

Just because a lot of people are hypochondriacs doesn't mean these conditions aren't very real concerns.

So maybe I shouldn't have used quotation marks around the disorder part, but my problem is with the over diagnosing and treatment of ADHD.

http://aktuell.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/pm2012/pm00104.html.en

Also, Ritalin would help any student do better at school if they had ADHD or not. The fact that it 'fixes' so many people with ADHD is not a sign that they have ADHD. It's a sign that the pyschostimulant is working by increasing CNS activity. It would 'fix' students without ADHD too.

So i guess my main problem is that it is common practice these days to prescribe a young child an addictive drug based on a diagnosis that comes with very little empirical evidence.

Reminds me of my thesis advisor who hates how everyone overcapitalizes in history (a valid observation), but also lets her distaste cloud her judgment. She was marking off proper names like Mini Ice Age and Great Cattle Plague as a knee-jerk reaction to unlikely capitalizations. Just because it is probable someone is wrong doesn't mean you should assume they are!

I kinda like the concept of legalizing more stages and allowing permanent bans to compensate. Most people are going to ban some combination of Cruise, Brinstar, Mute, Japes, and MKII, so the jank won't end up mattering anyway. Except in crew counterpicks >.>

At least they're using the five neutrals. I never got why stages were limited to FD, Dreamland, and Stadium in crews :bluejump:

Heh there should be more of these traitor guides. Either the game is pushed in a more idealized, extreme direction, or characters get meaningfully developed by brute force. In any case the metagame benefits.

WTf are these rules. No matter what I do I'll end up with a stage I hate. MKII, japes, mute and Brinstar, but no Kongo Jungle?

Talking with Adam, I just realized an implication of this ruleset. I get to PERMANENTLY ban final destination in every set I play!!! Falcon is good on Brinstar though I hate the stage, I actually love MKII and all its gayness, Cruise is whatever, I like Fountain... yeah this will work out juuuust fine.

I just woke up too, so sure let's do it.

Sweet metric

Also new foundation for my argument that Makeup is absolutely necessary in women.

ANYWAY, ignoring all the dumb losers poo poo heads in here (Is this considered censor dodging? :) )

The amount of nostalgia/hate in the youtube comments of that new single is hilarious.

Yep, never change youtube.

Taylor Swift with makeup=very attractive. Without makeup=still attractive. Katy Perry with makeup=overrated as ballz. Without makeup=looks like dangly dog parts. Sorry bro you don't have a leg to stand on.

And no "poo poo heads" is not censor dodging.

I'm like 0-6 vs Strong Bad's DK in the last year so definitely him. I beat his Fox but it just isn't the same.

Also 0-6 or so vs Sinister, so I'd love to beat him.

And Arby, whom I'm 0-3 against.
Know what, I can see you beating any of those scrubz next time.

As for me, I'd like to beat Strong Bizzle I guess. Gotta hand Vts his candy *** next time too. More than anything though, I'd just like a good set with G.Vice in tourney. We never play, and when we do it's always uuugly for one or usually both of us.

Oh yeah, and we're alllll getting Diablo 3 down here. Lezzgo!
