Latin > All other languages.

If you ever get the chance to study Latin, do it. No class has ever taught me more.
>_>
10 days after starting Latin I, my Latin teacher switched schools.
I went 7 weeks without a teacher, and then my school hired an old man who had never taught kids before.
Halfway through Latin II, some kid told the teacher that he was probably going to end up dying in a retirement home alone, so the guy stormed out in the middle of class and quit.
Yay Latin! ^-^...V_V

I took 5 years of french. I can still read it but I can't barely speak or write it anymore, go figure... It helped me out greatly while I was in Paris but that's about the only time I've ever had to use it. I want to buy the Rosetta Stone program too but I can't decide what language I want to do. I was thinking maybe Italian or Japanese, I dunno. Four hundred bucks is still pretty steep though.

I recently acquired a copy of Rosetta Stone with a bunch of different languages so I can revisit German. I don't think it is all that great. It basically concentrates on placing nouns and some verbs with pictures. That's good, but you completely miss out on simple things like 'Good Morning', 'Hi', etc., and how to learning verbs and correctly conjugating them.
