I'll be residing in Ulsan. I will be in Seoul early August, but I'll be in Ulsan from September to whenever.

How close is that in comparison to Seoul and Busan via Bus and Train? How many hours does it take?

And how much does it cost each way?

Also, how much does it cost to take a plane from Seoul to Japan?

Ulsan is pretty far from Seoul from what I remember. Not as far as Busan is from Seoul but still pretty far. By train, it takes about 3 to 4 hours to go from Seoul to Busan or back. By car or bus, I'd guess around 6 to 8 hours depending on traffic. Not sure how much it costs by bus but by train I think it's around 500 something dollars round trip? It may have changed cuz I went a while ago. Plane from Seoul to Japan is anywhere from 500 to 700 dollars I believe.

dang...
ok. i got few things to say.

1. DAYUM! I will be back to US by Early August >_>
i am going back to US in Late July...

i always wanted to play you, and timing goes wrong... it sucks..

2. Ulsan is pretty far from seoul..
if you take KTX (fastest train in korea)
it is ABOUT 3 hours from Busan to Seoul or vice versa.
slightly less than 3 hours...

so you should give yourself 3 hours to travel to Seoul from Ulsan.

I'm wondering how expensive it's going to be:

KTX vs. plane vs. regular bus vs. regular train

Holy crap $500 round trip just to go to Seoul? I'd much rather go to Japan with that money. You sure it costs that much? Sounds unbelievably expensive. Thanks though.

what? NO.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.

it CANNOT be freaking 500 dawlars, yo

what are you saying Marcus? >_>

for KTX, unless you take the VIP seats or anything,

it is less than 50,000 won for one-way.
so for around trip, it is maximum $100. >_>

but if you are willing to take bus (which will take more time travelling),
it would be cheaper.

Also, if the plane for Seoul - Busan go on sale, it will be like $50 for round trip >_>

Wait, $50 for Seoul-Busan just for plane both ways? And train it costs $100 round trip?

This isn't adding up. Unless trains offer back massages and every seat has a laptop with Starcraft built in it.

I play Melee regularly, and am in Seoul until mid-August. It seems that Melee is nonexistent in Korea, so I'd definitely be eager for some occasional Smashing.

If anyone wants to play, just respond.

The three of us actually played today. I'm in Gangdong-gu Office stop, but I don't mind taking the subway.

On the side, but it's not my main focus (I'm on WA Brawl PR). It may not matter though if no one else plays.
