Really? Please explain Freeman. You hardly ever do.

Pichu could be an Alt. because of two reasons. (Please note that these are based on my personal opinion.)

#1: Sakuri said that there were gonna be no more clones. But people really like Pichu. So why not make him an Alt.? At least he'd be in the game.

#2: I've yet to come across a good new moveset for Pichu. If someone could show me one, I'd gladly retract everything I've said.

I think both pickachu and pichu should be alternate costumes or a second IC type attachment for the newest characterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yes, it's peer pressure that's making me believe just how much Pichu sucks. It has nothing to do with the fact that he's a pre-evolution, which makes him inherently useless (on the whole). It has nothing to do with the fact that he does damage to himself when using the majority of his attacks. It has nothing to do with the fact that he is nearly the EXACT same character as Pikachu except lighter, more agile and self-damaging.

Nope, none of the above. Pichu is worthless because of peer pressure and peer pressure alone. Besides, I haven't even played Melee. How would I have any personal basis upon which I could judge a character, let alone the game itself?

(Sarcasm aside, Pichu truly is a waste of space. He's more of a waste than Young Link, Doc and Roy. My Pichu sucks, your Pichu sucks, all Pichu suck. Pichu sucks = all Pichu suck = I win).

I tried playing with him a few times.His control is better than Pikachu in my opinion,but all of his moves have extremely small hit boxes.It's not that hard to whiff alot of his moves.

Pichu has to go.Pikachu is a much better character than he'll ever be.

Pichu just needs some love, every one goes for his big brother because he's better. Pichu can easily compete with Pikachu, his moves pack more power, faster, and IIRC, a better wavedash.



Dang this thread is one sided :/.

- All characters can be godly if someone learns how to play them well.
We just tend to look at Pichu as a weak clone.

He basically IS a clone.. Even in the Pokemon world, hes just a weaker version yet the same typical species of Pikachu. I am on the side of taking him out to put into some other character. But if he was left in.. Whatever.

Did you pick up on my sarcasm at all? Even once I explicitly and clearly pointed out that a good majority of that post was rooted in sarcasm, especially the pseudo-fact that I hadn't ever played the game in the first place? I could go on, but I won't.

Yes, of course I've played the game. Yes, I've played as every character on multiple occasions: enough times, in my opinion, to get a good feel for most of them. After personal experience with the character, it is my opinion that Pichu is a lesser version of Pikachu and does not warrant a reappearance in Brawl. Plain and simple. Any questions?

Holy Crap! Why are you guys being such... LOSERS! I know this is Free posting and such, but this is STUPID! Pichu, I admit, wasn't the best character, and could of easily been fixed. BUT YOU DON'T GOTTA FREAKIN' TRY TO KILL HIM! Pichu rocked in his own little mousy way, and yes, I would rather have Lucario and such, PICHU ROCKS! Didn't think anyone would be immature enough to make an Anti Pichu thrad...

I don't dislike Pichu, I just dislike the fact it was put in when another character could have been put in instead.

The one thing I will give Pichu is that he had the best alternate costumes.Other than that,give him the boot.

I'm not really flaming though. This Revenge of the Nerds reference has no direction. As is, there is no direct target It was just a silly interjection to the fact that all of you are arguing about a silly joke character. A pokemon. You have a vendetta against a small yellow rat.

This topic is completely worthless. As much as I like Pichu, and how fun it is to beat someone with a handicapped character and make them look like crap, I have doubts on his return in Brawl. Not that my opinion, or anyone elses opinion here matters, as none of you are working on this game.

I wasn't saying Pichu should go though, I think Pichu rocks, most nimble character in my opinion, so having these people just rant on Pichu like this, its well, I just cant stand it.

Yes... But of course I have to say a bit more to prove that... Well... Actually I can't, I just live by the fact that everyone can be a close match to another character. That character just needs a skilled player.

Sakurai said he was removing characters. Pichu is the most hated character in Melee and there is no doubt that he will be removed.

Pichu sucks and I can care less about the goggles.

i also hope pichu is replaced with another character. my reason is, i hate the idea of clones, and pichu is most likely not getting a new moveset.

i think he will disappear along with doctor mario, young link and a few others...
however,
i do not hate pichu and i dont really want to see any character gone.

I can't believe this thread is still around...I figured the mods would have locked it by now.

Anyway, I really think it's dumb to have any anti-(insert character here) thread. And it's even more dumb considering he's basically the first one out.

The next thread will be "Hate the Goggles that Pichu uses!" and the first post will be "If the goggles are gone, there aren't enough costumes for Pichu to use and they have to kick him out!"

... Another Pichu hate thread arises..
