<p align="center">Another late update, apologies again. Following up yesterday’s report on the rumor of an AC Villager being playable, Sakurai’s revealed Mr Resetti as an Assist Trophy. This (imo) is the best assist trophy, as Mr Resetti was one of my favorite elements of Animal Crossing.</p>

<p align="center">In the games you only saw Mr Resetti if you reset your game. Nintendo knew people would reset if something bad happened (lost the lotteries in AC on gamecube for instance) and when you did, Mr Resetti always knew, and next time you turned on the game, he’d ambush you as you left your house and lecture you (”What, you think you can reset LIFE!”) in an attempt to get you to stop. The problem was I loved the idea of it too much and kept resetting simply to hear all his rage filled rants. I don’t think his doctor would approve, his poor blood preasure….</p>

<p align="center">Rather than appear when you reset a match (which would get old fairly fast) he pops up when his assist trophy is used and gives his opinions on what’s going on. As in previous games, he’s grumpy to have to come up, as you might have noticed.</p>

<p align="center">The downside to his is it makes the number of potential Animal Crossers (Crossingers?) for the roster shrink. K.K. Slider is doubtful to be a fighter concidering he’s a major stage element (at least on Saturday evenings) while Nook, though still a favorite, has been shown in the background of Smashville (he’s been shown on the Japanese part of the Dojo for todays update, <a href="http://www.smashbros.com/jp/items/assist/images/assist08/assist08_070926i.jpg">as seen here</a>) so the fact that Resetti hadn’t been seen had people hoping he might be it. Clearly he’s not a fighter now and just an item-even if he doesn’t like it himself.</p>

Resetti sure looks like a fun AT, I wonder what happens on stages like Castle Siege where you fall through the ground. Will he follow you or keep yelling at you from above?
