No, they're not. You can use an amiibo from region A on a console from region B.

I found something reasonably priced on the web, but it was a japanese one, so I figured I'd ask first.

Imported DeDeDe and it only cost me about 25 bucks! All I need is Pacman, Palutena, and Meta Knight (who is 100% gonna be an import), then I'm out as far as the Smash line goes.

... Then again, I really like Smash Luigi's pose. Thankfully he's super common.

So I finally had good luck with checking websites to see if they had stock.

About an hour ago, Best Buy's online stock of Ike, Dedede and Meta Knight was constantly going in and out of stock for like 7 minutes. I was able to order a Meta Knight during that.

Not sure if I made the right choice given how for this wave, Shulk and Ike were my top priorities, with Meta Knight being a secondary thought.

I highly doubt it's even all about popularity at this point.

Third Party characters probably are lower priority, as the companies who own them likely get a cut of the revenue made.

Then figures like Rosalina would just be more money to produce so they get replaced by a figure with a simpler design later.

I think Sonic will be common in Ireland though. He's huge here, while every other character coming here on Friday is a nobody in Ireland, even Mega Man.

Whelp, my Wii Fit Trainer is on its way. Should be here Monday and Ike from Amazon UK should be there the Thursday after. I think that should suffice for this paycheck though I'll try to snag a Meta Knight on Friday if I can.

Gamestop finally sent a shipping confirmation of my Ike/Sonic. Thankfully I haven't committed to anything else yet and was able to cancel my Amazon.uk order.

This Wave is hopefully finally done for me. Though now I have to decide on what to do with my extra Lucario. lol
