Important news: GameStop is now tracking your purchase history to make sure you only ever pick up one of any amiibo from ALL their stores. I went to pick up Ness, and after he took my PowerUp rewards card, he started quizzing me on my amiibo history: "So you preordered Shulk, huh? Says here you also got the Splatoon three pack, Wario, and Charizard..." He also told me he's been in contact with other stores lately - I noted he did not specify other GameStops, so there's a possibility multiple retailers are coordinating to crack down.

Moral of the story: If you're needing doubles of a GS exclusive for play or trade, you might want to use cash and don't give them your rewards card. They seem to be treating everyone as though they're probably a scalper.

Unimportant storytime:

A friend of mine got burned hard. He's had a Dedede preordered for months and it never came through. They finally pushed it through to today's restock, but his store didn't hold it as a preorder - they went ahead and put it right on the shelf with the others. He had to book it over there to snag the last one (which should have been rightfully his regardless) - but they also screwed up by sticking a label to it, so now his packaging is ripped.

I was trying to help him exchange it with another, more sympathetic GS that happened to have an extra hiding in the back, but we weren't able to pull it off due to scheduling conflicts. Still working on it to see if it happens in the next day or so.

It was believed that Rosalina, Wario and DK would be part of the Super Mario line but it has been months since Mario Party 10 has been released and still no word from Nintendo. If anything, they'd be released next year since they're probably focusing on the Smash, Yarn Yoshi and Animal Crossing amiibos.

Restocks are actually being handled fairly well this week, even for NA. Kind of regret not waiting an extra two months/couple weeks to pick some of these up.

Unfortunately, I was informed about the Target.com restock hours after it went up. I presumed it sold out quickly. This has to be related to the notice of Rosalinas and Pits coming exclusively to their online store 2 days ago.

Considering registering online for all 5 major retailers (Toys R Us, Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Gamestop) to be prepared the next time a restock goes up. At this point, it's probably easier securing Robin off Amazon.

Yes, got Jigglypuff on the way now. While it isn't the most enticing, I do have use for it for a long while by training it for the Rest-Offs my stepbros, there friends, and I have when they come over. Also means I'm dead set on getting a reddit account soon, for I could use more focused amiibo discussion and eventually sell off Jigglypuff when I'm done with it when value goes up after restock.

I was originally going to give that Ness amiibo that a friend got me along with Lucina last month to my boyfriend but he's going to get one so I kept the Ness. Here's my collection so far! I really don't have a place for my amiibos so I put them in front of my TV. I think it looks better that way than in that dark black shelf.

I saw Rosalina and Dedede for sale on store shelves for the first time when I went to Toronto this week (as well as Villager, who I had only seen in the very early days of amiibo). They were at smaller stores (Dedede was on Kensington Street, and the other two were in a store on Spadina Avenue), and well above the standard price ($70 for Dedede; I believe the other two were comparable in terms of pricing, but I didn't look too closely since I'm not overly interested in those characters), but at least I know they're out there.

Doubtful. Making new amiibos just for alts. in Smash alone? I mean, the Koopalings could get away with their own amiibo, but just for gender alts like a Male Wii Fit Trainer or Female Robin? I don't think it's gonna happen, when you can just choose that skin for their default figures. They wouldn't make entiiiiiirely different figures just for something simple like that, it'd be a waste of money and resources when they can just print out amiibo figurines for those characters that are already out.

Remember this also depends on where you live. Some places I could see Bowser Jr. , Dr. Mario and Gannon being common but in other places they might be rare.

I remember when Donkey Kong amiibo, Kirby and Yoshi were common in the begining and now they're sort of rare. At least where I live they are.

Also if one of those "common" amiibo ends up being store exclusive then they will be slightly more rare. Overall it really depends on location.

Well, here in Taiwan, Toys R Us just sells... well...toys for kids, I don't think they have amiibos there. And I'm too shy to go in to Toy R Us lol.
In store that specifically sells video games, I do saw a couple of rare amiibos before, like Rosalina, Dark Pit.

I haven't posted here in awhile... so I recently got a sonic amiibo. Named him Onion Ring and I put his speed up to 200. Hardest amiibo to get grabs on and it's really annoying. As hard as it was to beat my amiibo once he got to level 50, old Luigi amiibo Lugy destroyed him. It was a 3 stock match and it ended with Lugy with 3 stocks and 0% (Remember he heals by attacking and sheilding).

These days, it's hard to improve Lugy, as good as he is against a team of 2 level 9 custom cpus by himself and still able to wipe the floor with other amiibos, I still want to see if I can make him any better and feeding him will make him worse at this point. I noticed I don't really have another amiibo like him. I've focused on Lugy on stats, special effects, and even special moves while others are just plain or only focused on a certain stat like Bowwow with 200 attack and Bidizzle balanced. I plan to get another amiibo and try my best to get it powerful as Lugy and hopefully he can continue to get better.

You'll never be done with amiibo, the amiibo addiction is too real. ;~; Amazon might be the most optimal choice if you can't find them in-store. I'm not sure if America has had a Fox restock yet or not but perhaps wait it out if one hasn't happened yet.

I'm not addicted to amiibo hunting. I only have a small collection of those, which is all I need. The main reason why I'm currently deciding on getting Fox is because he has the potential of being one of my mains...oh and for Star Fox Zero, too.
And on a side note, I decided to either sell my amiibo or give it to my nephew so he can play around with or throw it across the room or whatever since I have no more use for her.

I found a website shop seller that you can get Rosalina amiibo buy adding 540$ when buying other amiibos. Maybe I'll try that out. It'll be cheaper.
