For starters its easy, tie it to your account. If you have unlocked all the characters on your account, it will remember it and unlock them all for where ever you play.

Do you mean color editing? Like in Kings of Fighters? If so I think if they dont have Alts in this game that they atleast need to let you do color edits. Id like to make the black and white Yoshi.Customizable clothing would be great.
The thing is, shiny colorations are more meant to be palette swaps. But for Pikachu's case, it could have that notched tail, which references the female-gendered Pikachus.None for the Pokemon?
The problem with that is that classic Sonic is shorter and a bit more rotund than modern Sonic, so they'd have to change his hitbox, which is a big no-no with alt costumes.2) sonic (if he comes back) could get classic sonic as his altenate. depending on how far they want to take the idea, they could even cut out his voice and change his sound effects.
Ya I think some are over thinking the idea of the alternate costume. It should only be appearence. No size, voice, or even slightly changed movesets. How many other games do that with their alternate cosumtes? To my knowledge none so I wouldnt see why Smash would.sure, yeah. that's fair. that's another point i should've addressed: visuals are the only thing that should change.
I'm fine with whatever changes come with the costume as long as they're purely cosmetic. Dr. Mario can throw pills instead of fireballs if they act identically to fireballs.Ya I think some are over thinking the idea of the alternate costume. It should only be appearence. Good points but gold mario and silver luigi both seem to have a sparkle effect as well as show alot more physical features than the metal suitSomething to keep in mind about solid metalic alts (Ie, gold/silver Mario) is that there won't be much visual difference from the char to a metal box transformation. Seeing how Sakurai loves his items that's something I felt some of you should consider.
At any rate, interesting alts which are relevant are always good.
Personally, I do not want DLC contents on the game disc. Instead, the game disc could contain a feature which reads the contents of the Wii U hard drive and/or the SD card. If any add-on contents are detected, the disc will load the data from its location, temporarily implementing it into the game.Alternate costumes should be paid DLC. It should also be ON the game disc, but you have to buy them to unlock them

I thought Sakurai was working on SSB4, not Capcom.Alternate costumes should be paid DLC. It should also be ON the game disc, but you have to buy them to unlock them
Wat..........wat?Alternate costumes should be paid DLC. It should also be ON the game disc, but you have to buy them to unlock them
Haha....Maybe he's just an undercover Capcom employee.I thought Sakurai was working on SSB4, not Capcom.
Barring Capcomgate, on disc DLC makes sense from a technical end. Without it being put on the disc, those that haven't bought the DLC can't see it which can result in compatibility issues. Not only that, but it makes downloading easier and cheaper.Haha....Maybe he's just an undercover Capcom employee.
I think all fighting games should learn from how character on the disc DLC backfired in Capcom's face when Street Fighter X Tekken came out. Fans were not happy! Capcom's a rip off. Having their costumes being paid DLC. Theres no reason why there shouldnt be UNLOCKABLE costumes in Smash 4. This game needs a lil more unlockable content this time around. Since it is a sequel on a much higher scale.
Because Black Shadow is popular and important enough to be his own character.Blood falcon was an alternate for the Capt. in both 64 and Melee, even Brawl. Why not have Black Shadow? I like the idea of alternative costumes, very much. Best chance I have of seeing Boshi.
Just makes me wonder, if Black Shadow does manage to make it he will take over Ganondorf's old moveset and Ganon will finally use his sword.Because Black Shadow is popular and important enough to be his own character.
I hope not. While I was in the camp that supported that a while ago, I've changed my mind after doing more research on the character.Just makes me wonder, if Black Shadow does manage to make it he will take over Ganondorf's old moveset and Ganon will finally use his sword.
