Ya but G4 announced that Brawl has almost as many reserves as Halo 3 did. So sales for it are going to be huge no matter the season

Wooo go Brawl!!! I wonder how the whole unlocking characters and online play is going to work out (ie I have every char unlocked but Kash does not and he's unlucky enough to have to face me online, will it let me play as characters he has yet to unlock?)

lol jk Kash, had to pick on you

Ha. Why stop there. I'm planning on staying up for at least 72 hours for regulated play time ;) And my brother Lewis and I will probably be too busy playing eachother to start unlocking stuff. So I won't argue that. But we will be the first in the state to play a versus match! Ha!

Ive already ordered a fake (But extremely legitimate looking) doctors note to excuse myself from work for at least 5 days after the release. I have plans to have sushi delivered to my house in 6 hour intervals, I will sleep 3 hours for every 9 hours I am wake, I will have a 20 gallon barrel of Mountain Dew Baja Blast, I will be wearing a diaper. The pro formula.

Ha ha go lewis. Smart call. I plan on playing smash while on my bed next to a fridge. I will also have a wide variety of energy drinks and sugar combinations so that after I unlock everything I will crash for a while

That's very hardcore, Paul. Why are you so awesome?

Well, this is my plan:
I'm going to bring in the chair from the living room (as it is the coziest) and smother it in cushions. Place heavy blankets over my curtains as to block out all sunlight so I can play in perpetual darkness. On my right, a table in which to set drinks and snacks, on my left an ice chest full of snacks like grapes; celari; and pizza as well as sodas, all with pillows and blankets.

I won't be disturbed unless it is an emergency and don't plan on sleeping for at least 30 hours.

When Brawl comes out I'll most likely be under difficult training for track. I'm talking running for 60 minutes straight in the morning and then doing sixteen 200 meter intervals with a minute's rest in between each one in the afternoon. Sorry guys, but I won't be doing the whole stay awake until I pass out thing while playing Brawl and eating junk food.

steven ftw. i almost died reading that!

but i used to run track and i did wrestling (were we ran more than i ever did in track oddly enough lol). those intervals are intense. 1 mile. 3 800's. 3 400's. 5 200's. then 12 100m sprints. twice a week for wrestling. that alone made most people quit.

We did a workout similar to that in track. The one difference is you have to run each one at a consistent pace, meaning you shouldn't EVER slow down. I'm thinking about joining my school's wrestling team but I don't want to be pressured to lose or gain weight. As you might or might not know you have to maintain a consistent weight for your weight class. Not only that but I also don't want to deal with all the idiots in wrestling. They would all poke fun at me and laugh just because I run long distance. They seem to stereotype that all long distance runners are incredibly weak and wouldn't last one day in wrestling practice. The reason I'm thinking about joining is because I like wrestling and I want to prove all those people wrong.

Where we went to school no wrestler ever did that. Most wrestlers are cool and understanding. Plus you wont be pressured to lose or gain weight as long as you are smart about it. Just join the weight class right above your own weight and maintain where you are at. Plus if you ever need any training my brother and I would help you out. After 5 or 6 years of wrestling you kinda learn a few things ;)

And when we ran in wrestling you had to always match your times foeach thing to that of when you were fully rested and prepared (recorded from a run a few days before). So if you slack even a little bit you have to run more. Rough huh? But a **** good work out

worst thing was that it ws always a tmed group run and if anyone didnt make the imte that run didnt count. so some of us would literally get behind the bigger guys and help push them down the final stretch so we wouldnt have to do it again. Help them sprint in a way so they use less energy.

And paul if you wanna try out for it then go for it. besides when your team has to go running you'll be more respected because they know you're fast and wont be able to keep up with ya. What school do you go to again?

and yeah dave and I can train you in wrestling if you want. if we didnt have to quit wrestling to get jobs and sure at least one of us could have won state (probably david lol)

Wow...I almost died with laughter catching up in this thread.

Nah, at our school he's right. I think they'd think that way at your school too. If you run distance, they all seem to think you're a complete pushover. NOT TRUE!!! Sure, wrestling's difficult, but I have absolutely no conviction they could run for 60 minutes for a day that's not even a workout. Medium day, just to go running kind of day is what that is. No, a workout is 25 200's, with approximately 15-25 seconds rest in between each one. SPRINTING more than three miles. I don't care who you are, if you don't run distance, you don't call people who run it pushovers. Anyways, I'll probably be training during this time with Paul, so we won't be getting any of this ridiculously hilarious sounding STD action.

You guys sound like you were pretty darned good at wrestling. It's a tough sport, I won't lie. We go to Cibola, and surprisingly some of the people on our wrestling team(probably Varsity) have been really supportive of Cross-Country, posting up notes and fliers for us to do well in our upcoming meets by our Coach's office. But a lot of the team is exactly how Paul described them. I go in last year for one day just to check it out and see how wrestling is, and these guys look at me with cold, unblinking eyes and say "first day? you're dead!!!" Well, I personally think that the workouts for wrestling are easy compared to distance running under coach Henry, it's the actual wrestling that's a killer. I wasn't even breathing hard after the sprints and whatnot when everyone around me had agonized, tortured looks on their faces, looking like they were going to keel over and die. Then, when we wrestled, I got schooled 'cause everyone I wrestled was at least 15 pounds heavier than I was, and I didn't know what I was doing. That was the hardest part for me. Just trying in vain to keep the other person down when I didn't even know how to do it. Sigh...maybe I'll learn one day.

Paul wouldn't even have to run if he were running with the wrestling team because if you run too far ahead of everyone else, they MAKE you turn back and go to the back of the line. In order to prevent him doing that 500 times per run, he would have to run at their speed, which, I might add, is REALLY slow. It's kind of lame, not much of a workout for some people if you can't run your own pace, ya know? I was actually thinking of doing wrestling, but that's due to a LOT of pressure from others. Apparently I have a really good build, and people want me to use it in wrestling. I don't know, it's not really characteristic of me. I've been thinking about it since last year, 'cause that's when it all started. We'll see.

Kash im sure theres something you excel at.

And the workouts between each schools wrestling team is different. Mind you when dave and i were in it we were under coach friedland and that was the year rio was ranked 6th in the nation. our workouts compared to all other schools were literaly torture. but it got us all into rediculous shape.

but again if you decide you wanna try it out, come to david and I and you will know what to do and how to kick the crap out of everyone else on C team at least :D

And JV ;)

My girlfriends younger cousin runs Cross Country and does wrestling at Highland and no one gives him any crap. They actually respect it too. So maybe Cibola is just filled with pricks on their teams. Every school does have a few of those tho. but those are normally the ones who talk **** until they get their ***** kicked in. West Mesa was packed full of those.

Just ask Kyle and I to help you train and we will push you to your limits guaranteed. Plus you will be in the best shape of your life

Haha, lol.

Hmm. I need to start working out again. I'll definitely start that this weekend (you have any tips and or anything you'd want to give me) as I won't be coming to the monthly anymore, it seems...

Wait why wont you be coming? Did you need a ride or is something else going on? And for tips all I can tell you is to make sure you stretch out and dont try to do too much at once. And remember if you're working out upper body I believe it goes in this order that you should do it: Chest Tri's Back Bi's. So you work out your chest first then your triceps back then biceps. Thats because if you start with arms only you wont have the strength to work out your chest later on

Yea...meh. I don't know, Cibola's wrestling team is a mix of both good and bad people. Whateva.

For me to work out, I am very limited, so I just do push-ups and use a pull up bar for pull and chin ups. Oh well...I have my own ab workouts too, there pretty brutal but no weights for me.

<3 Abs <3

That's mainly what I'm going for, lawlz.

But seriously, I can't go. I got into some trouble and I'll give the full story later or Steven can give it to you, but I am under "house arrest" from this weekend. ****ty *** timing, I know. Believe me, I really was looking forward to this.

As for working out, thanks. I don't do very many stretches and I should do that a lot more. I usually do a jog around the block or so before I work out. I find that's a pretty good thing to do. I'm also, as silly as this sounds, gonna follow this workout routinue: http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com/my_video_journal.html

Silly, I know, but it has a lot of good workouts. I really just wish I had a workout partner because I'm a lot more motivated then.

Shoutouts

Kyle - After this tournament, I think it's safe to say you're better than me. You forced me to go marth, beat me, and put up more of a fight against Erich and Paul than I did. However! Don't get too comfortable. Notice how torwards the end of our third match I was figuring out how to effectively fair-camp ICs. You can be expecting a lot more improvements like that as I continue to play you and deduce Ice Climbers strategery.

Erich - ONE of these tournaments, I'm going to beat you! I get so close every d amn time. Ah well, nice marth ya got there.

David - I didn't even play you except for those team matches at the end o_O. I demand friendlies next time I see you! Better yet, meet me in the tournament! Bwahaha. Oh! And excellent job 3-stocking Erich's marth with Pikachu.

Paul - gj winning it. I was hoping to play you in tournament, but alas, those **** ICs ruined it. Ah well, stay top tier.

Neil - Had fun beating you in every friendly ever XD

Paul #2 - Respect for coming down here from Farmington. Also, respect for nice doc skills.

Lewis - If those doubles matches had just been free-for-alls, we would've ***** =P

Lrin - Didn't play you either!?!?!?

Wraith - Fun friendlies. Marth at 400% ftw.

Chefman and Luigi47 - Doubt you guys will see this but w/e. You guys were really really good for never having been to a tournament before. Keep it up!

Everyone who didn't come - Come!
