do a 2 day event. brawl on one day , then melee the day after. if this happens this would probably cause more ppl to be interested and actually commit to coming.

If they did a brawl tournament we could have a legit AB brawl PR. That'd be pretty awesome.

Definitely do brawl and melee seperate days. I don't have too many issues switching from one to the other (except for trying to wavedash in brawl sometimes... Pisses me off lol), but I know others hate it a lot.

Also, a brawl tournament will result in more melee attendance.

cause calgary has like 40 asian kids at UofC and the edmonton community is about half a dozen people

you're drasticly overestimating our players, you have to remember most of the people are brawl players and bad at all 3 games and not interested in paying (AKA NOT PART OF THE SCENE JUST UNIV KIDS)

Eh the problem is... the tourney is mostly casual players and more serious players... therefore you have to please both people =/ atleast thats what I think o.o

There's no such thing as being "in the scene". If someone's willing to play competitively for the first time in their life then they're officially "in the scene".

The only concern I have is that the tournament will be run poorly (bad timing, stupid rules, equipment oversights) but if there's more than 1 person running it then things should go smoothly. I'm stoked!

i would be down for that, as long as theirs friends for both games on both days but i suppose that depends on the equipment
