I'm not too worried about it, no. The competitive Melee scene is not going to die the day that Brawl comes out. The whole point of the tournament is to finish off Melee with a bang of sorts and I doubt anyone who would be attending otherwise is going to miss it just because the new game comes out. Most Melee players might not even have Wiis and copies of Brawl by the third week of December.Hey Randall, since Brawl is coming out the 3rd December.. do you think that people will not come to your tournament because of brawl.. since its quite probable that you will do your tournament at mid December..
I'd hate to spend 400-500 just to go to Calgary and then there's no tournament happening..
Yeah not only that i think a good game stays a good game even if a sequal comes out. Look at starcraft many players are considering not chaning to sc2 just because starcraft is such a huge game in the gaming society.
