We want to come up this weekend. But because of music camp happening this week, we would have to wait until Sunday to come, and then we could stay a day or two. Also if we come this weekend, Justin won't be able to come, so it will be easier on the housing.

Hey Derrick, about that way of getting cheaper tickets by staying in Seattle: That sounds interesting, but I can't find anything about it online. If you could get some information on how much it would cost and everything, that would be great. One problem though - if Justin's going, I'm not sure his mom is going to like the idea, but we'll see. He's still trying to convince her to let him go at all. But things are looking bright, because his aunt is also trying to get his mom to let him go, and she would be able to drive us to the tournament to make sure it's alright. And yes, his aunt is cool. She also said she could house us for as long as we need!

Justin said he almost definetely can't come this Sunday, but there will be other days. We could stay probably as long as Tuesday. Monday and Tuesday would probably both work. I'll just have to make sure my mom's okay with Tuesday, but she should be.

Hahaha, are you kidding? Halo for Smash? Don't worry about that. I was thinking of picking up Halo a long time ago because it's online, but I never got around to buying an Xbox .

Anyways, I've got some news. I just found out that the ferry tickets I was thinking of were to Valdez, and it actually costs $120 round trip to go to Whittier per person. So now I'm not sure if all my friends want to go, and I'm not sure if I have that much money to spend anyway . So I'm thinking about waiting until Era/Alaska Air has one of those specials where you can go to Anchorage for $75 or whatever. That would be a lot cheaper and easier.

But in the mean time I've come up with a plan: How about you stay with us? We could all pitch in some money to help pay for your ferry or flight, whichever you're taking. Plus, my friend's parents say they would feel a lot better about letting them stay in Anchorage with you if they could meet you first. My mom's ok with it, but my friend's parents aren't. In fact, Ben's mom started getting so worried because of random shootings in Anchorage or whatever reason it was, that yesterday she said she won't let him go until she meets you. So if we came to Anchorage first, it would just be Spud and me.

You can probably come anytime you want. But here's the thing: I have summer school (don't laugh) from 8AM - noon on weekdays. So I won't be able to stay up very late at all on weekdays, only until 1 or 2 AM. So if you come over on a school night, you'll probably want to stay the night(s) at Ben or Spud's house, and I could stay out with you guys until midnight or so.

Oh and also, have you decided if you're going to fly in via Era yet? It looks like for $120, you can fly in tomorrow at 6 PM and come back the next day at 7 PM. But if you try to stay another day the price jumps up $100 . So either that, or you can just come next weekend. It's up to you. And I'll let you know later how much my friends and I can pitch in to help pay.

As for how much money you're going to bring, it depends on how long you're staying. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to eat at one of our houses, but I'd bring some money for food just in case. And if worst comes to worst, I can always lend you some money. But other than food, I don't think there will be anything you'll want to buy in Cordova.

Derek, it looks like Justin is going to buy his ticket and everything completely seperate from us, because he has to stay all the way until the 29th. So that means we will be splitting the companion fare between us two. My idea right now is this:

First of all, we can't use the companion fare unless we are both leaving at the same place and time, and returning the same place and time. So I will have to first go to Anchorage, and then buy the same tickets as you to Las Angeles.

To fly from Anchorage to Las Angeles on the 10th or 11th of August and come back the 18th is $730 on Alaska Air. If I were to fly to Anchorage for $220 round trip just outside those dates so we could purchase those Anchorage to LA tickets together with the companion fare, the whole total for all our flights put together, including mine from Cordova to Anchorage, would be $1050. And if we split that into 2, we would be paying $525 each. Not bad, eh? Without the companion fare, you would have to pay $730 and I would have to pay over $900.

Also, there is one possible alternative: If I took the ferry to Anchorage instead of flying. It is $120 round trip, but I would need a ride from Whittier to Anchorage and back, and I'm not sure how much gas would be or if you're willing to do it. It seems like it would be complicated to set up all that, and I think spending $525 each is probably good enough. But let me know what you think.

Hey!!!! I'm in the Dimond VGC, dude im itchin to play!! My main is peach and at the tourneys held in video game club i got second, im still learning to wavedash-mostly when i use marth-and with peach i think my technical skills could use a LOT of polishing, but for just having heard all the terminolgy(wavedashing, l-canceling, etc.) last week and being exposed to smashboards 3 days ago i think im above mediocre...please got on msn when you can or answer my email, i have a few friends who might be interested, im absolutely obsessed with smash and i really wanna join a group and just smash till friggin dawn.

Hey I dont recognize yer name, did you graduate this year, btw James won the tournement, sagans' brother if you know who she is, i live next to klatt, also i have a few friends who are noobs(one doesnt have a gamecube)but he actually took thrid in the tournement, i'll get his #, also im 15, and i have summer school but it ends thusrday so I'd be able to do anything this week and after this week im totally free, i live near klatt-using my dads address to go to dimond-uumm, yahh just tell me when and were you'd like to meet.Btw summer school ends at 11:00 everyday so anytime after that i can come do anything.
