some animes start off reallly slow. like i was told by a couple peple that Gungrave is a decent anime. but nothing happens in the first like ten episodes so i'm lke wtf
and serial experiment lain is another one that was recommended to me, but it starts off so slow im like why am i even watching this still
people who like anime intrigue me...they're fully aware of all of the typical shortcomings of most anime...starts off slow/drags on too long/incoherent or confusing/too much filler/etc. its differnet for different ones
but they love them anyway

Serial Experiments Lain is a great anime. What you guys might see as slow-paced and boring, I see as dark and mysterious. Unless you're watching the dub version. I hated the dub.

i kinda like some others but i acknowledge that they're lame in some ways. I was really into naruto for awhile bc its so KOOOLL but then they decided to do filler for two years and i lost interest

Awkward voice acting is awkward. At least in the dub.
Also did you notice how they basically ran out of money/time/manga whatever and just ran through the galactic leyline in a big finale that killed like 5 big bads in only two episodes?

mario party is completely broken and luck based but its still fun and competitive as hell
brawl's not nearly as broken.
maybe i'm just happy that i get to fight with Snake who's one of my favorite video game characters of all time.
just the novelty of fighting nintendo characters makes the whole series fun to me.
