I think if you nair her really close to the ground then do a rising uair you should catch before the dsmash comes out.

Neither of those have never worked for me.

I just keep jolting and hope they forget all they have to do is continue holding down : (

Peach is by far my least favorite matchup, followed by Sheik

i actually just run in there and trade hits with the dsmash until the peach is at a high enough percentage so that she can't cc my hits anymore

i'm bad at peach

I stop outside Peach's D-smash / Jab / Racket + Pan / D-tilt range and wait for her to do something and F-smash her. It's pretty cool.

Jolt x9001 is probably more effective though.

Against Sheik this works less effectively. Too much range, too much stuff could go wrong, too much to take into consideration when approaching and retreating. But I do it anyways.

Incidentally I suck with Pikachu just my thoughts.

If Peach shields, she's in no position to punish you.

You, however, get a chance to grab her and / or wait some more for her to do something. By her shielding you've essentially cut her options down from like

- D-smash
- Dash Attack
- Stand there
- Float
- WD back
- WD forward
- Dash back
- Dash forward
- Roll
- Sidestep

to

- WD back
- WD forward
- Float
- Aerial OoS
- Roll
- Sidestep

I think that's actually an upgraded position lolz

Trading hits with Peach is generally a bad idea in my opinion :X

And the Peach's I've played usually will just float cancel a nair to kill jolts and bam no lag and still free to do whatever so if you were planning to approach with that too baaad

Turnip spam is horrible tooooo...

i don't get it much either...in all honesty, i'd just jolt, short hop to double jump and try to bait the dsmash, or shffl fair/nair and try to shield the dsmash.

p.s. i hate peaches too...i play one that floats above my jolts and i feel like i can't do anything to stop the approach and i need to have better spacing than i'm capable of to punish the ways she covers her appraoches =X

Heh, cause I think there's a lot more stuff Peach's can do to destroy Pika : C

Like floating at that certain height....and mocking me knowing there's little I can do >.>

Good Peach players are hard to beat.

Defintally one of the best tournies I've went to, I'm sorry you couldn't make it, I was looking forward to seeing you there : (

I kept kind of looking around for other pika players but I'm pretty sure I was the only one there >.>

I live way back in Mississippi, just south of Memphis.

My crew was considering going to Final RoundXII in March, that's probably the next time we'll be visiting GA.

I think we're going to SMYM 9 when it happens in a couple of weeks too

Man I'm glad melee is picking back up, the long dry spell of tournys was starting to get to me.

You could use Pikachu's really freaking fast jab, then buffer a roll to try to avoid the dsmash.

you usually have to mindgame into it and good luck hitting peach with the stronger part of the fsmash(closer to pikachu). and i'm not too sure, but i think when pikachu sticks his body forward to do the fsmash, peach's dsmash will get him.

ive always shffled uairs against CC. it either knocks them down, or pushes them away from you.

unfortunately it also only does 3%

crossover neutrals are good too, or a really late neutral into a dsmash works

at lower percents, i've had my uair CC'ed by peach

-edit: and pikachu's not bad...it's just everybody he does bad against is broken =p
hit with the front spiking part of the tail, dont shffl them backwards. this will push them out of range where they can counterattack

general rule of thumb against ccers: sh dairs across their shield. This can be hazardous if peach like, grows a brain and starts intercepting you though.

All I learned about Pikachu I learned from N64.

So all I really do is spam Dair and try to epic combo people but then realize their DI isn't as bad as mine so it won't work.

i'd probably recommend just to keep your distance, spam your jolts, and stay on the platforms a lot if you're not on final D. i play with 3 really good peach's, one of which is 5th in the state of arizona. what works against him is just running away and spamming jolts, then when she gets close, i do a running Shffl'd nair, but not to the point where i'd land right next to her. she usually will CC downsmash, so just start your shffl when you're close to her so you'll land further away. running downsmashes work against him too when i know he won't expect it. try doing that randomly, but not too much or she'll expect it.

that's how i usually stop the crouch cancelling anyways. CCing isn't all peach has though. for Light (the person 5th in AZ), he likes to float a lot, and do some crazy float cancelling shiz that's like insane lol. Sh uair's work a lot against him when he's not crouch cancelling.

basically, just use your jolts a lot, and try to keep your distance. that's what works best for me, but just try different things out. maybe you'll find another way, not everyone has to play the same way
