Regionals should definitely be done before Singles, imo. And for such a long tournament (4 days) it'd be beneficial if people are free from school a couple of days before and after the tournament, so that foreigners can be housed etc.

Why not both?
-_-' What do you think?

If this is going to be that big, why don't you post it in tournament discussion instead of regional zones?
I would, but not until there isn't a date yet. And of course because if I would, the mods would have to go to international community and see BF's spam thread.

I wanna come whenever it is =] Sign me up ^_^
+ I agree with JD, or better yet, Japanese stage rules =p

Brawl won't be out in the launch window of the Wii which is usually about 6 months so I'm thinking it's not gonna be seen till late q3 or q4 next year =s <3

I love dutchies =O
We <3 Jam5

Sign me and Remen up.

Few issues:

1. I suggest you do crews and regionals earlier, so they actually happen. Maybe put them on the third day and low tier on the fourth.

2. Why isn't Fountain of Dreams on in the random select? I you wanna go Japanese rules Pokémon Stadium should be off as well.

3. Dates. It's much too early for me (and many other people probably too) to say which of those dates I can make. During the Christmas holidays or summer vacation would probably be best for me, though the latter is quite far away from now. Universities don't really guarantee any other free days. :x
I'll discuss this stuff with the other hosts asap ^^

Vote, *****es

Like

BF and I discussed stuff about the tourney. Helios and Marc proposed to do crews and regionals earlier. However, put singles on day 4 and everyone will be exhausted already. I would like to know everyone's opinion on this matter.

As you know, the tourney will be a 4-day tourney.

That's 4 days to divide our tourneys over:

Singles
Low tier
Teams
LT teams
Crews
Regionals

Discuss.

its all about prioritizing, singles teams and regionals are the most important things. They should be held the first 3 days. 4th day should go to crews. use the low tier and low tier teams as a filler whenever we have enough time left.

Dutchland. ^^
well we were thinking like, maybe the first day people are still arriving, setting up etc, which makes it kindof perfect for low tier so its not a total disaster if people arrive late, or still have to *warmp up* etc.
and if something goes wrong planning-wise, we dont have to change everything. we'd be just like ok so screw low tier teams.
but thats how i see it.

they did this in germany and it worked wonderfully well. low tier for warming up ftw.

How about this?

Day 1: low tier singles and low tier teams
Day 2: Crews and regionals (if you really want them on the same day)
Day 3: Singles
Day 4: Teams

WTF smashboards is being lame. I can't edit my posts :/

Anyway, Jeffz0r, crews and regionals don't have to be on the same day.

+

2 tourneys on day 1 won't work

Why not, even Ros3 had low tier singles and regular teams on the same day:dizzy:

I think your main priority should be making sure people actually show up for all days :p

What's wrong with you lame dutchies only playing in singles, or teams, or something like that. Make sure to get a venue where everyone can stay over ftw

You misunderstood me. I said, 2 tourneys on day 1 won't work, not 2 tourney on 1 day.

And yeah, Chris, sleeping @ the venue would be teh shiz

Jeffzor - At least I'm there for all days, and I enter all the major competitions. I don't completely skip certain days ;)

Sign me up. But only if it's in April and not in December - January. A whole bunch of us are already going over there for Jeff's tournament and it would be... stupid to hold a big Dutch tournament within less than a month.
