How do you know the magazine with the interview was called Ventendo? Just because the word was used somewhere in the page doesn't mean it's the name of the magazine. . Anywho, just don't jump to conclusions like every body else seems to do on this board. My new motto is "if you don't have the game, you don't have the facts". To some other people who think July 26 is the day this will be announced fake or not, why don't you try to use common sence (it usually works for me). The day this is announced fake is the day the magazine or someone who owns the magazine says it is. Until then for all we know if Sonic is not the July 26 update then he is not in the game (but I swear on it, I WILL PLAY AS SONIC IN BRAWL!!!!

Main flaw with this *fake* article...Sega is making a Mario/Sonic game. It seems like they would have no hesitation to allow them to use Sonic. So...yeah.
Plus, Sakurai isn't revealing hidden character until post-release, and he also said that all guests (i.e., 3rd parties) will be hidden. So...he wouldn't announce Sonic on the DOJO.

You might be right about this, as I believe that they will leave hidden chracters until shipment like they did in melee. Though, keep in mind we do know about snake. They could just say he is in the game and not "profile" him like the others.

No, actually it wasn't. What you posted was not proof. It had good points, but it was not necessarily true. Everything you posted had a counter argument on how it was scanned. In the end though, I suppose it is, in fact, a fake.

Nintendo is like Sonic's true home since Sega can't make any consoles that would give a fighting chance with the 3 at the moment..
Sonic had a TV show and he has a bigger audience since his games aren't all full of blood and what not.

Elaborate on your dislike of Sonic.
He deserves a spot as being the head mascot of Sega, a major brand that led gamers into the early Nintendo with Sonic as a prime highlight of gaming. For many, he is a Nintendo icon, being the first or second game they played. (It comes into a close call with Mario.)

It's easy to make a moveset for Sonic, he can use a good amount of his abilities from the games.

Sonic should be in Brawl simply because the demand for his inclusion is astounding. The number of people who want him out pale in comparison to the number of people who want him in.
I was never a fan of Jigglypuff, but I always understood that his nearly orgasmic popularity in Japan fully warranted his inclusion. This applies to Sonic as well, especially in the states.
From a business perspective, both Nintendo and Sega would benefit from his inclusion, whereas their reputations would be temporally tarnished (Sega would feel it for longer than Nintendo).
Finally, and most importantly, Sonic and Mario stand together as the most iconic video game mascots ever created. A fist-fight between the two would truly be amazing, especially for anyone who grew up when Nintendo and Sega competed directly with each other for market dominance.
And while we're on the subject of character inclusion, why would you want Dark Samus in? Wouldn't she just be another Samus clone?

I love how ppl think and say: "Yeah, theres only one scan going around the web and no one of the Million Smash fans wants to full scan the article, Eight Sage marks again and again the articles mistakes proving its unofficial and, most important, the Ventendo magazine doesn't exists (Google anyone?), so... maybe... could it be fake?"
Seeing that a scan of a BAD photoshop picture could make this, I cant believe it.
I have to say that I, like almost all of us, want to see Sonic in Brawl, but that wont happen, so Nintendo will fill the void with Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, thats why its coming out November 20, close to SSBB release date.
