No character is noobish, per se. Certain characters are easier to use than others, but Ike is by no means noobish.

Whether or not you're considered a 'noob' is based on how well you play the game... it really doesn't have anything to do with tiers and it isn't a hard concept.
Even if you play a high tier character (the tier list is just a ranking system for how good characters are), you aren't going to be considered any more or less of a noob if you still don't play that character with skill. Character selection has nothing to do with skill, and therefore nothing to do with being a noob.
Go ahead and play as Ike if you like his style and want to have fun playing the game. If you want to eventually win tournaments... don't play as Ike.
Edit: And yah, as Wil said, this shouldn't be a thread. Lock 'er up.

No character is noobish. There are only idiots that will think you are noobish for using a character. >_>

If you want to win national tournaments or regional tournaments ike is not the character to use at all. He is fun, but fun only gets you so far. He has very limited options.
