Oh well, you know the deal with those... I think I found a new tech, but it might have been discovered before. I don't main snake, so I don't know the character in detail. However, I don't remember reading this anywhere, so I'll just leave it here and you will evaluate if it's original or not.

It involves Snake and MK/kirby in a team. The MK/kirby player should be on controller port 4. Snake puts c4 on the partner, and said partner grabs and U-throws an opponent. When they're high in the sky, snake detonates C4 and bam, 0% kill.

Easy, fast and powerful.

My friend and I called it Heaven Burst because it sounds cool, but feel free to rename it to something more technical if you want.

So, was this tech known?

Otherwise, do you want a video?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, this has been known for a while. I hadn't thought about it in this way before, though. It was known that Meta Knight could wreck Snake by grabbing him so that they were not visible when the grenade/c4 exploded. I didn't think about sticking it onto your partner. I'll have to look into it now. Thanks.

Yeah, actually, what you guys mean with "this was seen before" is Omnigay, which is an absolutely different technique.

In that one, you kill snake with MK.

In this, MK and snake are on the same team. It involves c4 instead of grenades, you control it, and no, MK DOESNT DIE as long as he is in port 4.

Actually, I've been meaning to ask this:

I often play in teams and my partner uses Metaknight. He always tries to get port 4. We do this trick pretty often, usually he doesn't die but sometimes he does. What determines if he lives or dies?

Here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4U_x6wdqXr0

If you look at the last kill, we pulled off the double omnigay, but he died too. Note that he's on port 4.

the timing, I guess. Mk has to be ascending not to receive knockback(Once again, I think that's it). If you blow the c4 while he is starting to come down, I think he will die

It's the port. Mk in fourth port, alive MK. MK in 1-3 port, dead MK.

Same for the opponent, so be careful.

I didn't know that different ports had any major affects like that. Not trying to get off topic, but can anyone tell me what else can be affected by using different ports? or point me in the direction of a thread that can?

I think it's grab priority that is also affected by ports. The person in port 1 will always manage to grab their opponent if both players try to grab at the same time.

I'm not 100% sure though so I might need to be corrected.

if a move that kills both players at the same time occurs, and end's the game, the player at port 1 will win the match. This only happens to port 1 thought, any other ports will enter sudden death. Grab port priority is like 1>2>3>4 and knockback priority(while in a grab) is 4>3>2>1.

I didn't know about this one till a few days back. I've been doing something a little different with my doubles partner. He grabs them, I stick them, Crago Up Throw to C4 Blast. Anyway you do this you still feel satisfied lol.

Actually, MK only needs to have a higher port number than the victim. Using 4th port just guarantees success with either opponent.
