A new type of mindgame?

Can verbal sounds become a mindgame? Example: If you're in a heated match, and you're both screaming, you're both desperately trying to kill the other. You fake scream, your opponent thinks an attack is coming, so he rolls, but you never really attacked (mindgame), the you just punish his roll. Can this be implemented in a game? Is there any other form of mindgames that can happen outside the game itself?

Crowd trash talking is good enough for the people who get affected by it. Having the person next to you scream in your ear would just be borderline obnoxious, especially if you were to get caught by it.

Falcon kick.
Trash talking from the crowd bothers everyone. During FAST1, both M2k and Dashiz were getting bothered from all the name calling going on. There was a lot of crowd pressure.
Even though this can affect your game, it coming from the other player usually doesn't bother me too much and I suspect it's similar to a lot of other people as well.

That's a stupid tactic. You winning should come from nothing but your skill in the game.

It's not allowed.

Somewhere in tourney rulesets, they say something about distracting your opponent.

Depends on what tourney you go to, don't it?
It's in the standard SBR ruleset IIRC, but if you're such a **** about it that it costs the other person the match, the TOs have enough sense to make the person replay it.

ESPECIALLY if you cite the SBR ruleset.

believe it or not, listening to your opponents controller helps a lot. for example, if your opponent grabs the edge, listen to the controller. oftentimes you can hear your opponent press the L/R button down, which means he's gonna roll from the edge. now's your change to turn around and start charging up that forward smash =) works all the time for me

Another lesson to be learned is to sit behind forward when you play him.

If not, he's going to look at your hands to **** your DI.

lmao really?

how do you plan on accomplishing that?
Don't press in the L button all the way for an L-Cancel to avoid the trademark clicking. It can help mask the rhythm of your play no joke.

Sit on your opponent's lap while playing. Creepy and it can block their vision.
