Clearly the Japanese metagame circa 2002-2003 is similar to the current metagame.

because peach is a really bad character that is very limited. the matchup against cf and jiggs is unwinnable, ntsc fox is ridiciously hard, ntsc sheik has an advantage, marth has an advantage, falco is even. even doc and ice climbers do better than peach against these characters.

lol do you actually play the game? peach is an extremely limited character. she has one or two good tools though but mostly the matchups are bad for her. look at my post and you see how bad the top tier matchups are. what impresses me most is that ive never thought there could be a peach as the best player in the world. this is something not even your hero mango could do.

Doesnt mean its right, considering like everyone else is like... kk wtf, Peach is defs not incredibly limited or like one of the best players in the world, wouldnt main and **** as her. Theres a lot of peach players... and you know what, they're good, they win, they show that Peach is less limited then you obviously say it is.

theres a difference between OPINION and FACTS. dude, do i have to talk to you like with a kid?
peach is limited compared to others. thats what makes armada such an outstanding player because no one could be as good as he is with peach. if armada would practice jigglypuff as long as he did with peach he would have the best jigglypuff but by far better than hbox and mangos.
and yes there are a lot of peach players but as i already mentioned look at pink shinobi. thats how they mostly win; they camp. and if they do not camp they spam downsmash. thats not a good peach. its just relying on the two tools she has.

and KK: if you dont have anything constructive to bring up just leave. its probably the most ignorant thing to do to not take posts seriously that are meant to be.

fox has cheap usmash kills and easy combos + laser -> m2k pokemon stadium. people think m2k is almost as good as armada but the only thing he does is playing a 70/30 matchup on a stage that makes it 99/1
ntsc sheik has grab combos. the matchup is in sheiks favour otherwise amsah would have never won on pound 4
marth has easy spikes for early kills and a lot of moves that restrict peachs approaches and movements
cf has auto knee combos and other high percent grab follow ups. edgeguarding cf with peach depends on how good you can predict him, but its not guaranteed which it normally is against cf.
falco is the only even matchup. peach would definately suck if there wasnt armada.

Turnip your way in/Power shield. Dodge a fair or dash attack and grab to combo. you still havent proven anything...

I may not be ranked top 10 in the world or anything, but yeah I play competitive, with a bit of Peach, so yeah, I know how to get inside and **** as Peach, Im not any Armada, but I can defs prove you wrong on this so just give it rest before you hurt yourself..

The strength of the good matchups does not matter. All that matters is the number of bad matchups a character has, and how common those counters are in tournaments. It is for this reason that I think:

Falco is the best character, with the current metagame.

His counters are less common in tournaments than any other character's. Whereas Fox's worst matchup is Falco himself, and Falco appears far more often than Peach and Puff combined.

**** a "current" metagame. Falco/Fox are the best character IN the game. Then 3rd is Sheik/Marth. Jiggs is 5th best.

People said in this "current" metagame Jiggs was the best. And that was about 3 months ago. Now look. Just because PP wrecks everyone you now wanna change up.

This community needs to make up their minds..

And using the logic of the post above mine-

Sheik's match-ups are better then Falco's. She destroys most of the cast and goes about even with any tourney valuable character. Only a few characters give her trouble.

I Agree with what you are saying Rhan, Fox and Falco are the best characters in the game. I believe Jiggs is beginning to get over rated though. Yes Hbox = **** with Jiggs, Mango's puff was great to. But other then an exceptional few, a large portion of people cant use puff or have a very weak puff. Players like Falcon, Sheik, Fox, Marth, not only are large amounts of people using these characters but they also finish pretty solid. Im not saying Puff's not good, butI do believe our tier list is beginning to get skewed because a few players ****in **** up, puff style.

(its really funny playing noobs as Puff and watching them go "dude wtf, jigglypuff sucks" *4 stocks later* "uhh...")
