In your closet.
When someone tries to edgegaurd you, grab the ledge. jump, then immediately use dimensional cape to teleport behind them and slash. The timing is a little hard to get, but once you got it down, it makes for a good mind game.

What do you guys think? Is this new?

The dimensional cape attack is way too slow. Your opponent can easily shield and punish you.

Not to mention there is a brief moment were the opponent can still attack you while you're trying to cape. I wouldn't recommended using that tactic too much if I were you.

There's something similar/ better you can do. Drop down off the ledge, and use Down B like you would dimensional cape ledge stall. Instead, if you hold B to do the attack, you'll appear on the very edge of the stage. You can press towards the stage slightly to end up far enough in to attack someone from behind.
This only works if your opponent is very close to the ledge, but if you ledge stall a few times to draw them in and then attack with the cape, it could work.

All you have to do is hold B and you'll appear on the stage?

I normally hold B and hold up on the control stick to reappear on stage while using the DC slash. I think if you push up on the control stick and then move it slightly diagonally towards the stage, you'll reappear behind the opponent as long as he's close by, as the previous poster stated.

He certainly is XD

And Silver, sorry for basically repeating exactly what you said haha. I kinda skimmed over your post, meaning I read the beginning and end.

I don't normally use the DC from the ledge, but in the times I have tried it out, I find that moving the control stick towards the stage diagonally instead of moving up and THEN diagonally results in you dying...

Well, if you want to reappear behind the guy that is.

If anything, it might catch someone off guard once or twice and might make him think twice about staying right against the edge when you're hanging on. Although there are many better things to be doing than staying right on the edge standing still when someone else is hanging on the ledge...

I have a cool strat too. It's called "basically do any of metaknight's moves and you'll win".

:D

jk. He has a lot of good choices though, but the dimensional cape is neat.

It'd be much easier to reset your invincibility frames by regrabbing the edge then fall off and jump on with a fair.

Good try but this wouldn't help much. Keep experimenting and working though. Practice makes perfect.
