Okay, I'm watching the match against Doc on Final Destination.

Oooh, high quality. Nice.

Uhhh... I'm a little iffy on the dair when they're in front of you. Tippered fair will pop them up just as well and it's got less lag on it, and they can't tech it if they're in the air already.

When you're edgeguarding Doc, you really have to do it from a ledgehog. It's super easy to sweetspot with Doc, even against the dtilt.

Here's something to consider: When people tech roll into you and you predict it, the fsmash isn't always the best option. That close up, there's no way you can get the tipper and so you're really not going to be killing them. Maybe try grabbing or even reverse Dolphin Slashing instead.

If Doc is coming at you at the same time a pill is, try Countering. He'll probably be in the air, so he can't shield it, and you'll be able to both avoid taking damage from the pill and hit Doc at the same time.

Overall, really cool Marth. You could throw in a few short hop fair wavelands to mix it up and get through pills unexpectedly if you want.

It's really not too hard to do... the timing is very similar to the short hop double fair, but it's not nearly as frame specific.

pretty good just use up tilt a little more to get them into the air. and when they roll into you you can uptilt into fair or bair then fair theres a good 30% and they usually are off the stage or still in the air for more ariels and combos.

Yeah dude, nice Marth. Very fluid and fast. The only things I can suggest more is wavedashing to the edge and attempt more ledge hop down airs. I just noticed a lack of those in your fights against Doc. Also in that match you got a little lazy on your spacing at times. But for most part, smexy spacing. As for your fights with Fox...you have to slow down and concentrate. You were swiping empty space the whole time, praying your sowrd would hit, which isn't the best approach. Also against Fox, attempt more grabs. Grabs are the key in that match up, can't stress it anymore.

But yeah, good match. I actually watched all of your vids and I liked them all. Job well done. :-)

P.S. Mind sharing the significants of your smash name with me? ^^"

I'm glad you liked them. I have to admit, I think my fox might not see too much action anymore. Marth is just too fun. Anyway, I think I just saw a car commercial or something, it really means nothing haha

Overall nice Marth, a few things to consider. Like elvennarrow3000 said, you really need to ledgehog against Doc. Keep your invincibility frames rocking until he gets close enough to jump off and bair. You could ledgehop dair but that gets risky. Watch out for those pills! You can use a number of different methods when dealing with pills. One of my favorites is to simply use A to sword swipe but that doesn't do anything for spacing. Use shffl'd nairs or fairs to close in on him. When I see a chance to get through I usually go for a JC grab. elvennarrow3000 also mentioned anticipating the tech roll. All I can say here is grab unless Doc is at really high percentages.

As far as fighting Fox/Falco it's really just all about Marth's grab game. Chaingrabbing comes to mind but on those stages with platforms it only works in the middle. If you grab them under a platform you can still uthrow -> utilt (never undererstimate the utilt at lower %). Otherwise try some l-canceled fairs -> grab or even dtilt -> grab at lower %. Never be afraid to give them a quick hit while you have them in the grab either.

I do realize how you're supposed to edgegaurd docs. That was the first tourney I used marth in so I was trying to play it safe. Really though, that's nothing but johns

Seirously Dave, did you know you can grab by using A when your shield is up or by hitting Z at any time? The first option is called a SHIELD GRAB. :p

1) I'm sorry.

2) What is a john?
no no don't be sorry. I'm thankful for any advice. I was just saying that I knew what to do but just didn't do it. A john is an excuse for something, in this case, playing poorly
