Neither Funimation nor 4Kids makes anime. They just license them, send them to companies who record/dub voices, then sell the anime.

No, I like anime and I like smash. Those two should never EVER mix. note how half of the cast NEVER talks. Making them talk would completely ruin the franchises.

I don't see it happening... although it's a popular series, it doesn't have enough own plot to base a real story around. Sure, there's the Subspace Emissary, but that story won't go very deep.A writer would have to work really hard to make something decent out of that, I assume. Of course, I don't know what exactly SE is like. Still, Sakurai said it won't be overwrought with plot, which lets one assume it's mostly about beating levels and enemies.

a manga would be awesome since it's in book for characters could talk. Nintendo has a problem with character voices rather than vocabulary.

Ever read Zelda Mangas??these Zelda Mangas are amazing, i am glad that i have read them.

i won't mind a Manga.

I have a feeling that an Anime would WRECK smash for me.

If it sucked, I'd hate the game.

And consider many things, it'll mostlikely suck.

While in theory it would be cool, it would probably suck. I must admit though, a Smash manga does work...

When you think about it, any material written for smash must sound like some nintenboy's fanfic.

I'd rather just see a bunch of separate animu for each franchise.

Relating back to dbz (geek tiem...); I could understand mixing series if the two series were done by the same person and in a similar style, like for instance when Goku visited Penguin Island from Dr. Slump (doubts many of your remember that), but I just can't see Link and Mario meeting anywhere other than a video game.

Haha! I remember that! ...Though I didn't know who Ariel was until years later. I also found out Dr. Slump and Dragonball were both crated by the same man (can't spell his name).

I doubt that there'll ever be a SSBB anime, but I wouldn'tt be surprised if there ever was one.

I don't entirely like the idea, but it would be cool, a Smash Manga would work better. If they could do a anime on Smash get someone with experience that makes good Animes.

Another point is that most of the Characters don't talk as someone pointed out. Because of this it would be weird to see these characters talk (though it would be interesting to see Link say some actual words.). If they were to make a Manga on this though it would make a lot more sense, voice bubbles would work better.

Uh......da franchise almost got ruined when they made Link talk on his show back in da 90's.

Kirby has opened his mouth a billion times in the anime but he didn't speak (did he? I don't remember. Correct me if I'm wrong.). Pikachu has 1 word to say: Pika and occasionally Chu. Mario has spoken, but with an almost indecipherable Italian accent. Basically, those "non-human", you know what I mean, like Yoshi, have hardly or never spoken and if they did it would sound... wrong

they could make it work though. like obviously, the strong point of the show would be all of the fights and action scenes going on. since there are so many characters, they could intertwine all of the stroylines making it pretty deep. the only thing going against it was already mentioned. how half the cast doesnt even talk....peace

They'd need an amazing director in order to make something good out of the material they have. Like, AMAZING. Shinichiro Watanabe/Hayao Miyazaki amazing.
And that just won't happen.


A manga would work differently indeed, it's easier to experiment with some things in that form, which would be necessary in this case...

Anime? No. Anime is just money-making, it'll end up like DBZ and completly ruin Smash. Of course, you could just not watch it, but meh.

Smash is a video game, now with a storyline. I could see a manga happening if the story is epic enough and leaves for enough creativity. After all, Pokemon did it... Like, five times?

Kirby always said, "Poy-o, poy-o!" in 'Kirby, Right Back at Ya!'.

Yoshi spoke in one of the Super Mario Bros shows. I saw an episode where Yoshi said he was afraid of water and wouldn't cross the bridge to get medicine for Mario and Luigi. He fought a Koopa grunt and some little hobag ice Koopa queen with the help of a female Petey Pirahna thing that spat fireballs.

Cant see this in action. Anime cutscenes are more suited to RPG's like Castlevania and Tales of Symphonia, Children of mana ect, you get the idea. It would be cool, but it just wouldn't suit too well. Imagine an Anime Wario, or an Anime Ridley. It just doesn't look right.
