Heh, I mained Shulk when the game came out and Ryu when he came out. I had no idea Shulk had a high learning curve.
Same for me with Shulk. I played with him a lot initially, but I stopped when I saw that I wasn't making much progress and I was just constantly losing. It honestly discouraged me because of Shulk's step learning curve and I can't do MALLC (Monado Arts Landing Lag Cancel), a tech that is necessary for Shulk's metagame. He eventually became a chore to play...
It was hard for me to drop him because I am a massive fan of Xenoblade and Shulk is my second favorite video game character.
I play as Ryu for fun.
Cloud can beat Zero Suit Samus. Blade beam can beat her Zair and his U-smash can counter her D-special. I noticed that its very hard to get into Clouds face.
But still I think Zero suit has a bit more of an edge cause she kills at 40%.
I think that Cloud has the potential to beat Zero Suit Samus. When I go Luigi against her, it's harder for me to really combo her and such, even before patch 1.1.1. I have an easier time fighting her with Cloud, mainly due to his range and power... he does have ways to cover up her strengths. Cloud just needs to be patient in this fight.
I'm not a fan of Finishing Touch. It's a great option for an early stock, but I have little success with it. The majority of the time I've tried to use it, my opponent miraculously hits me with their ****in' baby toe during the wind up and completely cancels the animation.
I hate Finishing Touch. Out of all the Limit Breaks, I use this one the least. I can never land the damn move properly and I just get punished as a result. I mean, it's a good mixup, but it's a very risky move and I don't like it for that.
So apparently a dude named Tweek beat Nairo's ZSS in a Grand Finals yesterday with Cloud.
Holy crap! Really? Th-that's amazing! :O
Someone mentioned this before, but an empty jump. It's really good for mindgames where you could empty jump into something like a grab or a smash attack or nothing for example. Pretty damn useful as a mixup as well.
