Here's hy Shadow should make it:

-On Smash Bros Dojo, Sakurai said to expect another Sonic charcter. And that would probably be Shadow.
-He's VERY popular
-He has a good backstory
-He's very important to the Sonic franchise

Geno was actually Second on Sakurai's Poll for Most Wanted Characters, and WW Link wouldn't be a clone, he's much different than normal Link.

Regardless, Geno conceptually should never have been an option in the first place. That's the only thing I'm really saying.

There's been several other popular characters turned into ATs. Geno could very easily be one of them. Geno is not a main character of any game, which is really something you should be if you are a playable character.

And representing just one RPG game for the Super Nintendo is a pretty lame excuse to be a playable character, especially when you're made by a company that also has KH and FF on other Nintendo systems, which by far is a lot more important.

I call myself a huge Nintendo fanboy, and really there is no way for me to see Geno as anything but secondary, and he should stay that way. He's not equally as important as Mario no, he should not be playable hence. Hence why I'll stab someone with a rusty knife if Geno's playable. I wouldn't get your hopes up because after all, I've seen on the DOJO several other relatively popular characters turned into ATs that could have otherwise been playable.

I think the number 48 does not include Zero Suit Samus or Sheik. Since these characters get their own counting on the Dojo site by Sakurai, I think that makes for his 50. After all, that would mean 50 complete movesets, and 50 completely unique characters, just that two of them are only playable through other characters (Zelda and Samus)- but still, it's 50 characters in total. It makes sense to me.

So to sum this up, what I'm saying is if your lists include Zero Suit Samus and Sheik as separate numbers, make it a list of 50 instead of 48.
