I've been playing itakio a lot on wifi lately, we have a decent connection but it's still wifi. I've been instructing him on what to do with MK, which is mostly tornado, and man is that hard to counter online. But I figure if I can learn how to effectively react to it online, I'll probably start ****** it offline. I just gotta get my reaction time up.

i used to eat all tornados, now i reflexively spam up when i know im gonna get hit, and i di out of it after it's first hit 90% of the time =] wifi is impossible to sdi, so you probably will **** it offline if you can di out of it on wifi

What I generally do is the moment I see that thing start up, I put my shield up and tilt it up. I figured out yesterday that if I'm caught in the air and there's no way I can fastfall and shield, I'll just jump over it and try to nair it, or just avoid it altogether while trying to make sure I can still land and keep myself in a neutral position with MK. I think the mentality ya gotta have with nado is that you don't necessarily have to punish it every time, but at least make it so it doesn't hurt you at all. And if you can punish it just a few times here and there, maybe the MK will reconsider using it.

Icy lemme make sure I understand what you are saying: When you know you are gonna get hit by tornado and there's really no way around it, do you just SDI up and out? I haven't played an MK offline in a while and I've gotten used to online tornadoes lol. I used to think online was bad for learning, but I'm now convinced that as long as you are playing reasonably good people and you have at least a green connection, it can actually be very good practice. lol long post

not that long, at least not compared to some of mine =P

i have 2 ways i di out of tornado, not sure why

if i know im gonna get hit and start to pre-di it, i smash down and left, and it will INSTANTLY pop me out of it, way above it actually without wasting a jump.

if i'm already hit and inside of it, i sdi up and out of it and nair them or dj away.




good mk's like to raise up quickly with it so you can't di out of it, and even if you do you get hit before you can nair, so i like to shield it if i have a full shield, di out immediately, or just react and tether

try to play it patiently, the more you spam the more tornado will **** your face

but tournies take up too much time and money

So I think I'm gonna have new vids up soon from a friendly crew battle we did last night at a smashfest. One of them is a match between me and dehf which I only have one stock and he has 3, I don't kill him but I do live to 270%, which is a new record for me XD

I've lived to 410 before... which sounds really cool until you watch the game; I have 3 stocks left, and he has 1 at 104%... and he's still trying to laser camp me with fox... lulz
Nice job though, sounds impressive... can't wait to watch :D
