That Nintendo conference is still happening a little bit later today. Perhaps we'll see a lot more about the game there that will then be added to the site?

I'm so freaken pleased with the news.. and music.. omg... just.. wow.

Welcome to the club...I almost cried=not really,but I love Melee's music, and that remix was really uplifting. Seriously, I want a LOZ: Link's Awakening remix, SMB3 and SMW2 remix, and of course other Donkey Kong and Metroid remixes=friggen awsome! Fire Emblem music is gonan be awsome too, who am I kidding, all the music will be friggen awsome!

The music was great! I can't wait to hear what the composers will create... I love vg music.

On another note: I found it really cool that the site was released in five languages from to begin with (yes, fun reading German, English and French... Spanish and more Italian are almost derivable from those three).

Could that mean a more global release, when the time comes?

I agree with you 100%. I really didn't need the characters, I needed a list of the greatest musical genuises in the world, working together to make Brawl's music (other than John Williams ). Other than that, no movie or video game will ever have beter music, and I'm 1 billion times more excited then ever before!!!!!

They say "planned for 2007" on the site, which is pretty uplifting if you were hoping for an 07 launch. The fact that they can still make that claim, this late in development, must mean there's a chance they can make it, and they're not already resigning to a 2008 release.

The music is cool, and that musician list is pretty neat.

The press event is in Seattle tomorrow (the 22nd), and I imagine it will be well underway by early afternoon. Nothing about Brawl is confirmed of course, but all the major news outlets have traveled to Seattle to cover it, so it's not some small thing. I really do think the whole relaunch of the website coincides really nicely with this event, and tonight was just the "groundwork". Tomorrow might come bigger news, because we learned pretty little on the new site.

I'm digging the Battlefield look, though, and I really like the new damage meters.
