Wow, this video got pretty popular. YouTube Insight says its being placed in Japanese and German sites, lol.

I did this to my friend. not in a match, just to test if I can do it.

Took me about 15 tries. but I got it, the weird thing about doing this is the Mine placement, if you don't place it close enough he will footstool and just hit the floor next to him, if you put it to close he will blow up after like 3 seconds.
Yes, the mine part is a bit tricky. The problem with Meta Knight is that one of his idle animations makes him swing his cape in front of him, which increases his hitbox just enough for the mine to detonate. In my video, I have Meta Knight crouching until just before I detonated the first C4 to prevent from random idle animations from happening. This is also a problem with his broken shield animation, which will probably disappoint some people.

So why did I pick Meta Knight? Because we all want to see him get destroyed for once :). Also, I think his weight and fall speed was just right for it.

You have to space the mine carefully. The C4 sends them a bit horizontally so should be able to footstool them when they're closer to the mine.

Just wondering. Could this survived if perfectly DIed do you think? It seemed the MK could momentum cancel towards the end there.

yo, if you put this in a small video format that i can fit it in my sig, I'll rock it for you =)

edit : I also did this to marth, but before i did i hit him twice with the knee, and did you say if he's shield broken the chances of doing this is slim? =/

Can this be performed on anyone else?
Also, can you do this consistantly, or was it a one-time thing for you?

Doesn't it depend on how wide a person's hitbox is?
Nah, you can just move the mine slightly away from them, i'm almost positive this would be cake to do on people like DK and Bowser. when you place the mine, your animation sort of pushes the other player away. so it sets it up pretty well.

I'm upset that if someone get's shield broken they move to much =((( so we can't do this in a real match. T.T o well.

I successfully did this once in training mode... I guess that's kind of an accomplishment. :/
