Kinda reminds me of how the Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon back in Brawl actually had type effectiveness: Charizard takes more damage from water attacks, Ivysaur takes more damage from fire based attacks, Squirtle takes more damage from plant based attacks...

Which uh, completely didn't work because there's **** all in terms of water or plant based attacks from the rest of the roster all (so it means practically nothing for Charizard and Squirtle) while leaving Ivysaur in a complete disadvantage because there's like 13 characters with KO-worthy fire attacks lmao. It's pretty obvious why this and as well as the stamina mechanic were completely dropped when the Trainer concept was fully resurrected for Ultimate.

Let's be thankful Smash doesn't have any characters who's games have catastrophic hardware failures associated.

can't believe sakurai hasn't changed pikachu's final smash to "give your real-world opponent a seizure" for the sake of realism and historical accuracy
