It's not a remake. It's a reimagining.

There's a difference.

Why didn't they call it FF7 Reimagined Part 1 and call FF7 Rebirth FF7 Reimagined Part 2?

To be fair, I personally think if they were going with something akin to "Part" in the name, I'd replace it with "Disc". Even if it's technically not accurate anymore it'd still be a neat callback and it doesn't really detract from the meaning

Remake was a Remske until near the end where the story greatly departed from the original. So calling it Remake make sense from the perspective. Rebirth is a fine title for it. Reimagined sounds stupid.

fogbadge fogbadge : they are expanding it with content that is actually meaningful. Yes, I’m a diehard FF fan but this game is literally a loveletter to the fans. To someone who didn’t grow up with it or wasn’t invested in it; sure it’s bloat. But a lot of the content in the game feels organic and expansive. so I disagree with the bloat in FF7R. Even backtracking in quests is fun and I hate backtracking.

Northsouthmap Northsouthmap because it’s a trilogy of games. The previous game had two cds with it because it was so massive. This game does as well.
