The answer to this lies in what you are trying to achieve through playing. If you just want to have fun, then you'll enjoy it no matter who you're playing as (mostly). If you're taking it seriously and trying to win, you're going to stick with the two or three characters who you are good at...

Yeah.. My roommate has more money than he knows what to do with... It is just 1080i max, not 1080p. Was a little under $1k. A full 1080p projector will run considerably higher than that.

Agreed on the green shell issue. They do like to ricochet just right to come back and hit you... Even if it's a turn later, they will find you. As for cutting off red shells with the walls, it does require luck with where you are on the course. And some courses don't really have good places...

I know it doesn't come out too well when typing, but I was trying to be sarcastic. I do think it is much easier to get in front fast, and try to hold your spot. If you mess with being in the pack, there's no telling what could happen to you. And I do love destroying the shells with a wall...

I usually use Yoshi on the Mach Bike. I like how it corners, and Yoshi is just awesome in general. But yeah, it does kinda go all out for the leader... You know something's up when you can be half a lap ahead by the second lap, and then in the last 1.5 laps, you get hit by 5 blue shells...

I agree with the sixth sense thing. There's times when you just know it's coming. I was saying that it could potentially mess with your opponent because of the uncertainty. Not saying that it's a staple as a mind game or anything. But for true competitive play, I don't think it's that great...
